Where to buy GHD straighteners from?

SAM83, 11 August, 2009 at 17:33 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

I have decided I want to have GHD's after years of wasting money on ones that arent working. I dont want to get ripped off although I do love a bargain (if possible). Can someone point me in the right direction where to buy them.

There are 1000's of places on the internet selling them very cheap so I am assuming they are fakes and dont want to get stung!!

Thanks Sam

Basically there is a list of authorised suppliers on their site so the best thing to do is to look at a few and see what the prices are like. You're more likely to get stuff thrown in than much of a discount though TBH.

    I got mine from:

    /c/health-beauty/ghd/hair-straighteners/

and was happy with the service, I know plenty of others have used them too.

I used Price Runner and then run the results through the GHD website to check if they were autorised retailers http://www.ghdhair.com/beware-imitations/website-checker

Ended up ordering them from HQ Hair ?

    Bought mine from here:

Seemed like a good deal and they're listed on the GHD website as genuine suppliers

I bought mine from my local salon but otherwise I would have bought them from QVC as they often have exclusive/limited editions and special offers.

I have to second QVC- you have a 30 day money back g'tee for any reason. They recently had a special one day deal on the new ghd's- which i missed, gutted.

Just had a look at qvc- and have ordered these with my b'day dosh https://www.qvcuk.com/qvc.product.432632.html

I have just ordered some GHD's from www.atcheapghd.co.uk they do not hold the ghd warranty but my freind has had some for over a year and they are still going strong, plus there are cheap! Apparently they are made in the same factory. I would rate them and iv just bought my sister some for her bday.

Erm - no, just no. If they're not from an authorized supplier they are not real GHDs. Also - first post, advertising a website? How helpful of you. OP, I'd avoid this advice like the plague if I were you.

I got my first pair from LookFantastic (Wide plate Salon ones), and my new shiny black GHD Rare ones came from QVC, when they had them on special offer a few weeks ago.

And again, no. That site has fakes written all over it and it doesn't have a proper seal of approval linking back to the authorised site.

I can't imagine many would be taken in by that site though, it doesn't exactly have the most professional look ?

Whatever you do, as others have said please check on the real GHD site that they are registered stockists. I made a stoopid mistake of buying some from e - bay a couple of years ago, they looked genuine (had hologram etc) and were only about £15 less than the ones direct from GHD, but when they died after 6 mths and I sent them back to GHD I found that they were fake, and surprise surprise the seller was no longer trading so a completely false economy.
