Where to buy NICE charity pins for Cancer Research or Leaukemia Research?

MayDay, 27 October, 2008 at 10:03 Posted on Planning 0 8

Sorry I know there are other posts on Charity Pins but I've been looking for nice attractive pins to support Cancer research or Leaukemia research. I've seen the ones Cancer research do on the place names (blue rectangular) but I know it sounds awful but they aren't very attractive. I've love to have some pink pins for the ladies as favours. Any suggestions?

I also can't find anything that I could use as favours to support leaukemia Research which is a shame as I'd love to support as part of my wedding.

Thanks

I had heard somewhere (please check) that if you contact the charity, website maybe, and explain you want pins as wedding favours they will give you them and you give a donation.

that might be total codswallop but contact them and see??

Mine were really lush from the British Heart Foundation - as my mum has heart disease

they are little collar/lapel pins - red enamel hearts

small, discreet, and really nice ;-)

email the website and they'll sort them out for you

We're planning on doing this as well.

Thinking of pink cancer charity ones for the ladies (oh's mum, my dad and my sister all have had cancer) and maybe the NSPCC green full stop ones for the men.

    Hi,

We've got breast cancer pins for our favours, and we just emailed the charity and you make a donation of £1 per pin, and they come with little place cards which say "the bride and groom have made a donation to breast cancer research uk on your behalf" or something like that. You can choose what style to have as well, ours are silver with a little pink gem on the tail, but there are the standard pink ones as well as others.

They can be quite hard to get hold of though, they take a while to anser emails, understandably I think, but if you're in a rush, you might need to chase them a bit.

Thanks for replies. I emailed Leukemia Research and Cancer Research today and got a reply from Leaukemia Research to say how grateful they were and they were going to send me a selection of pins, fuzzy bugs etc to show me what I can choose from. The reply was really friendly and prompt. I'm really pleased to be able to give something back on my big day in memory of my best friend.
