    Congratulations and welcome!! ?

I think it depends what sort of location you're after and how much of it you want to do yourself. A lot of places offer rental of grounds plus marquee hire as a sort of package. We're having our wedding in a marquee which is in the walled garden of a private manor house. I came across it when I googled 'marquee weddings Hertfordshire' I think!

You could try googling or if you know of any locations already like manor houses/stately homes/gardens etc you could look at their websites to see if they do weddings. Another idea is hiring a field or other outdoor location and doing the marquee hire yourself. Think a website I looked at was festival brides which has some good inspiration for marquee and tipi weddings xx

It's not Hexton is it Tz?! We looked there!

I did the same really, searched for marquee weddings in Herts, & loads came up - actually I may even have found ours on the Hitched supplier directory! Ours is a marquee wedding where we hire the marquee in the grounds of a house as a package - they put the marquee up in June & then have one wedding a week until the end of September.

I also did a local search for fields to hire, & looked at a few farms in the area where we could hire the field for say £500, & then hire the rest in ourselves separately (but it worked out v expensive once you factor in marquee, catering tent, floor, toilets, floodlighting for toilets, furniture... the list goes on!). Which is why we thought the package deal we found worked out more cost effective.

I think a lot more people are now hiring out the grounds of their properties now, so good luck searching!

    Welcome!!

So, I've googled Wedding Marquee Somerset and these popped up Smiley smile

    http://www.huntstileorganicfarm.co.uk/weddings-and-parties/

    http://www.quantocklakes.com/

    http://www.oldoakfarm.co.uk/

    http://www.barleywood.org/weddings/

    http://www.tipievents.co.uk/venue/

It looks like all of these have to option to hold your Civil Ceremony on the grounds - sadly in England you can't just get married wherever you like; the venue has to be licensed. Make sure to bear that in mind when you are looking Smiley smile

I hope this helps and good luck in your planning!! Smiley heart

    xx

I loved it too - unfortunately they didn't have our date free, otherwise we may have been venue twins! ?

    Hi.

I know that Festival Brides website gave a land directory where you can just hire land for a marquee.

    Good luck with your search!
