which florist tape??

narie, 7 May, 2011 at 08:14 Posted on Planning 0 2

Some one suggested using green florist tape to wrap around my stems of my button flowers - and then it helps them to stick together.

I have been shopping and the tape doesn't feel sticky - how is it meant to stick the stems together?? Any suggestions of which one to buy? A link to a website maybe?

Thanks Smiley smile

I got one from hobbycraft and it's fantastic. It doesn't feel very sticky to touch, but it clings to itself fantastically as you wrap it round the stems and it smooths out lumps and bumps in the wire. I've wrapped ribbon over the top of it and the ribbon has stuck to it nicely too.

ETA - I think this is the stuff I have: http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/products-Oasis-Consumer-Anchor-Tape_127029.htm

I have thought exactly the same today.

I went and bought some Floratape (bargain at 2 rolls for £1.10, , lol) i opened it and thought 'This is crap'. But when I tried it on one of the stems I couldn't get the bloody stuff off?

    xx
