MISSMAYFLOWER, 11 June, 2011 at 21:29 Posted on Planning 0 4

Mum and I are just wondering on which side the men where their button holes and the women wear their corsages?

Buttonholes should always be worn on the left of the wearer in the upright position. Corsages and wrist corsages can be worn on either side according to taste and the style of the dress/outfit. Corsages can also be worn either upright or facing downwards like this:-

    Upwards:-

    Downwards:-

Wrist corsages are a different floristry item altogether from corsages so should always be asked for by name otherwise you will get the above! Normally, I advise wearing wrist corsages on the left arm or whichever arm you normally would wear a watch on. There are no hard and fast rules for corsages but buttonholes are always worn on the left the same as name badges!
