White wedding flowers...any inspiration?

Gurzle, 8 February, 2011 at 15:25 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hello everyone

I am looking for all white wedding flowers (maybe with a touch of greenery) for both myself and my bridesmaids...we are getting married in July, so I think most things (except peonies) will be in season...I think I want small bouqets, quite natural looking, with maybe only one or two flowers. I don't want a bouqet that spreads out down my dress...do any of you have any snaps or pictures you could upload to give me some ideas? I am not getting married until 2012 so it's no rush, but I just wondered if any of you had any thoughts?

ALso, do you think all white will be boring?

Thanks

K x

    Here's a few I've done which are all artificial but could be done by your florist in fresh.

    You're right Tulips, Calla Lily & stocks. Lovely combination of flowers & stocks have a nice perfume too.

    No, white is lovely. I too am having all white for three reasons:

    - I have a winter wedding and wanted all white, no reds as too Xmassy;

    - White roses are my OH's fave flowers;

    - It's the only concession I make to my roots - in Romania until recently when all the Western fashions have caught on, a bride's bouquet was ALWAYS white to symbolise purity.

    This is mine:

    First idea was:
