Who can give me away

Oh dear, this is very sad for you - do you have enough time before the wedding to see if things get better before you have to make this decision?

Otherwise it really should be someone that you are close to and has know you for awhile - a favorite uncle or the like.

Or - don't have anyone give you away.

My Nan has been a bit :/ about giving me away (she thought one of my parents should do it). I had decided to go down the aisle alone or with my 3yr old...

I think the whole 'giving away' is kind of a little dated anyway.

It's your choice. I've always wanted my little brother to do it as he's the 'man' in my life since i don't get on with my dad. I've always wanted him to do it but if i wasn't that close, he wasn't there I would walk alone without being too upset about it. I don't think it matters really to walk alone, it's a dated tradition and doesnt mean as much as it used to.

Neither of my parents are coming as my dad has just had a shoulder replacement s can't travel and my brother can't afford the flight etc so I'm going down the aisle by myself.....

Hope your family get over themselves and start behaving.

I don't see why your son or bridesmaid can't do it. If those are the people you would like giving you away, I don't see your OH's objection.
