Who do I send save the date cards to?

I sent them to all the people that we definitely want there for the whole day, my bridesmaids, best man etc were super excited to receive them!

I sent them to all of full day guests. Including bridal party and parents! Haha. Not that they really needed them but I want them to be included in receiving a nice invitation etc.

Are save the dates a relatively new thing? I've only really heard of them since posting on here & of all the weddings I've been invited to over the years, I can't say I've ever received one!

Yeah they are fairly new I think. Another thing that's made it's way over from America apparently.

They are good though if you're having a wedding during peak summer holiday season. Ours is the middle of August and a lot of people will be travelling so I wanted to give them lots of notice seeing as invitations won't go out until 3/4 months before.

Yeah everyone who's attending the whole wedding including parents & bridal party etc, they might not need them but it's little things like that some people like to keep by like myself, I always box special things like these and keep them haha
