The one we are waiting (& waiting) to book is through Virgin.

My Aunt flies with them everytime she comes home (she lives in California) and she highly recommended them for flights.

We used Trailfinders - went into the local office in Edinburgh. We are also using their gift list service. So far the service has been great and you can tailor make the packages to suit what you want to do / can afford to spend.

They create a trail for you (basically an itinerary) you can view this on the internet and they will keep amending it for you until you get what you want.

    Would highly recommend!

We've only booked our flights so far - did that using air miles. I am leaving h2b in charge of booking a hotel (although with just over 8 weeks to go, I am starting to worry slightly). We are independent travellers & as we are going to Trinidad & Tobago, this will give us the flexibility to stay where we want for as long as we want.

However, we are planning a jungle trek in Guyana too (short flight from trinidad) & will probably book that before we go. We hae found a travel guide in Guyana to help us with this.

Guess that doesn't really help much does it?!

We just booked through Thomas Cook Signature brochure. We have just always used them in the past & never had a problem with hotels or flights. We are going to Singapore for 4 nights then 10 nights in Bali. x

I would recomend bmi especially if you are going long haul. i would not recomend virgin we went with them a few months ago. i paid for transfers which never arrived had to get taxis. the rep was most unhelpful. i booked a self catering room to which i assumed id get a cooker, fridge etc. but only got a kettle and an ice bucket. and when i did eventually get my room with appliances it cost me £100 a week extra.

We have been dealing with eshores.co.uk, although we cannot decide between the Maldives or Mauritius.

The chap that has been helping us is called Gavin Lapidus, he has been great. He has asked what budget we have, and what we actually want at the resort. He then went away an cvame back with some options for us to look at first, he is so helpful and NOT pushy at all!!!

    Here's his details:

    Gavin Lapidus

    Senior Travel Consultant

    eShores.co.uk

    (01706) 751 212 - direct line

    Hope this helps

We've gone through trailfinders and for 5 nights in a 5 star hotel and 5 nights in a 4 star, with flights and a car for 5 more nights in Vancouver and Seattle for just over £2700.

We are doing the gift list with them too.

We're going to Maldives for 11nights and used Hayes and Jarvis who were quite a lot cheaper for our resort than any others. They have also been very helpful.

We have booked 14nights in Egypt with First Choice.

We have been with them for the last 4/5 years and the only time we had a problem they sorted it.

Ours was just in there egypt book, so a basic AI holiday but we added all the extras on, like junior suite, ect ect.

    Hi

We've booked direct with a company called Travel City Direct. They mainly specialise in America (we're going to Orlando) but they've recently started doing some of the Carribean Islands.

We're going to Orlando, staying for 3 weeks in a hotel and it's costing me and H just over £2000.

We've travelled with them a number of times before and have never had any problems.

We booked direct with the hotel as we could not find a better price with anyone else, also went direct to Virgin for the flights. So easy and we have exactly what we want.
