Who to send save the dates to

DrBlueKitten, 27 March, 2021 at 15:14 Posted on Planning 0 2

Ideally, we are having a relatively small ceremony (30-40 people) with a slightly larger reception (70-80) in June 2022 and starting to think about sending out save the dates. Do you send save the dates to evening-only guests too? We haven't quite decided on all the ceremony 'maybes' and I'm finding conflicting information online. I don't want to get people's hopes up thinking they have been invited to the whole thing, especially what with covid being an uncertainty. Any advice welcome

We are getting married in July 2022 and having approx 80 people to the ceremony and 20 extra in the evening. We have sent the Save the Date cards out just a week ago and only did ceremony guests. Also found differing information online but decided it would be confusing to people to only invite to an evening do but send a save the date as that suggests they need to keep whole day free.
Think about what you would think if you received one, I would assume all day so I think that’s the right thing to do. But everyone has different opinions ?

I sent save-the-dates just to my ceremony guests and are inviting my evening guests closer to the time. A couple people though I just told them in person what the situation was so they know not to expect an invitation until a couple months before the wedding date.
