Why do my arms look liked corned beef?

7 March, 2012 at 17:05 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

Today, I have noticed that my arms look mingy. They look like corned beef. Why???!

I am a porker so wondering if it is that or the fact that I am whiter than white due to lack of sunshine.

I hate bloody corned beef!

Mine are the same, have been for years. I only ever notice it on larger ladies like myself too, it's only my upper arms though

Are you a bit cold? Skin can go a bit mottled IYKWIM when cold. Fake tan or a cardi sounds like the way ahead.

My arms are pale on the bottom, but then reddish patches on the top...like I am really cold all the time. Is this what u mean? I think it is poor circulation?

Are your arms a bit bumpy and red especially at the top? It might be Keratosis Pilaris, you can help it with exfoliating and mosturising. I used to have it a few years ago and managed to get rid of it.

Interesting! Mine look like tiny little spots and are really rough to the touch, I'll give this a go!

Edit: Yep, this is definitely me after googling! Any recommendations for creams/moisturisers?

I used soap and glory body exfoliater three times a week and palmers coco butter every day, baby oil rubbed into wet skin is good as well. Hope you get rid of it ,tis really annoying.

My legs do too Claire! Indeed my "friend" used to call me "corned beef legs". It's a bad nickname.

At least I can wear trousers. Arm trousers, that's what you need.
