Will you wear a watch?

Gracef, 31 March, 2022 at 13:30 Posted on Wedding Attire 0 10
Hi everyone,

I just wondered if any one was planning on wearing a watch. I wear a watch everyday and have a prominent watch strap mark every summer. I also have a tattoo on my wrist that I don’t like anymore and wearing a watch covers it.
Do you think it would look odd wearing a watch? If I did wear one it would be matching my jewellery and be quite dainty. What are your thoughts?
Thanks x

I’m planning to wear one - feel naked without one! I usually wear an Apple Watch but will def take that off for my wedding - was given a nice silver coloured watch for my 30th so think I’ll wear that - it’s a nice “something old” too!

I am the odd one who has never worn a watch in my life, but i can see if it is something you are used to waering that it would feel odd without one. I think your plan of wearing a dainty one is great, and it is your day so you do what you want!

This makes me feel better! I also don’t plan on having my phone with me on the day, I’ll probably give it to my mum so I think it will help with knowing where I’m at in the day time wise x

I wear a watch every single day and feel odd without one, slightly strangely though my normal day to day watch is a posh and expensive Longines one with diamonds (£800!) which will look classy on the wedding day. It was however purchased by my ex partner (father of my kids who I never married)Smiley atonished

Whoops! My FH knows this and has never made an issue but now I am wondering whether this is insensitive! Mmmmm.....

I didn't wear mine, but only because it is a battered one with an old leather strap that wouldn't have gone with my dress. I usually always wear a watch and it did drive me crazy not having one, so if you have a pretty one that goes with your dress, I'd definitely wear it!

I normally wear a fitness tracker day to day so me and FH had a discussion about our gifts to each other and decided we would buy each other a nice one to wear on the day

For many years I wore a vintage watch that I received from my grandfather. It was a precious possession, and I was very attached to it. However, it stopped working recently. Because the model is quite old, I can’t find a repair shop that can fix it. I went to a few locations, but they said they couldn’t do anything. It’s such a shame. A repairman told me about a store that provides restoration for vintage watches, but it’s quite expensive. But I heard you can get Loans on Rolex watches . I purchased a Rolex a few years ago but haven’t worn it that often, so I debate whether I should prawn it to get money to repair my other watch.

I’ve never seen anybody wear one before but I don’t think it would look odd or anything so go for it! Can get some lovely watch straps out there too and it’ll be quite cute as a memory too x

I don’t think it would look odd at all. Plenty of people wear watches to weddings, especially if it’s something they usually wear. A slim, elegant design that ties in with your jewellery sounds lovely.

If you want something understated but classy, pieces from LuxuryCloneWatch inspired by styles like the Audemars Piguet Super Clone have a really timeless feel without looking flashy. Just keep the rest of your accessories simple, and it’ll look intentional and elegant.
