Winter Pimms??

grace85, 7 December, 2010 at 20:00 Posted on Planning 0 22

We had a meeting at the venue tonight and our co-ordinator asked if we'd had any thought about our after ceremony drinks, we haven't so sje suugested a couple of things.

Mulled Wine - I don't lke it so that's out. And Winter Pimms. I've never had this so was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

She said about mixing it with apple juice and serving it warm? As the wedding is in Februaury i thought having something warming would be quite nice.

Any thoughts??

Her there twin. We are having mulled wine but are considering mulled cider as well. Never had winter pimms but it sounds quite nice.

I think the actual Pimms is different mini, but you could try it with normal pimms.

Am now thinking I may have to try it just to see if I would prefer to have it instead of mulled wine.

Sue (our co-ordinator) said it's really nice with the apple juice and as silly as it sounds gives a really nice festive smell.

I wanted something to warm people up as they have to walk across a (small) courtyard to get from the room we are getting married in to the other rooms and thought it would warm people up, I did also think as she did that the smell would be lovely. Will have to buy a bottle now and try it as it does sound quite nice hmmmmm

Its lovely! We are having this as our welcome drink to warm people up. Decided that mulled wine was more a christmas drink so as we are beginning Feb thought it would work well.

Winter Pimms (Pimms No. 3, I believe, it's the brandy based variant) is ace.

You definitely get the CB seal of approval!

Oh, it's delicious! We're having mulled wine but I'd rather have had the winter pimms - OH doesn't like it unfortunately. I think it's nice to have something a bit different too.

Grace it's lovely. A nice warm yet alcoholic drink, just think hot spiced apples.

The Frankfurt German Market in Brum normally does and its lush.
