Winter Wonderland Decoration Inspiration

queenbee15_uk, 1 October, 2010 at 16:23 Posted on Planning 0 13

Hiya

Bit new at this so be gentle with me!

Arranged a wedding date of 10.11.12 and have decided on a winter wonderland theme but have no ideas how to decorate our marquee?

We thought about icile fairy light or topiaries with fake snow, but was wondering if you ladies were having any similar themed weddings or have been to any similar themed weddings and could help me with some ideas and inspiration?

Our colour scheme is white, ice blue and silver.

Any ideas much appreciated!

Kelly

This is exactly my colours and theme and I am also in a marquee.

Primarily I have concentrated on lots of lovely lights and hired a fairly light curtain and ice blue uplighter for inside the marquee. Also lots of candlelight, mirror and sparkle.

Here are a few of my bits:

    Hope thats helps!

Hiya the winter theme is a great choice, lots of lovely christmasy feelings along side blue, silver, white, snow, fur, mulled wine ummmm sounds so yummy.

Fairy lights can look so lovely, but do thingk about how you would arrange them/hang them maybe some candles if venue permits it. Berries are also good even if you spray them to fit in with your blue silver theme. Fake snow if wonderful I love it.

If you are looking for stationery please have a look at my site & I also do personalised bauble's on the gift page, these can have any info written on doesnt have to be a name. They come in half so you can fill with sweets or a personal message etc. You could even have them wishing tree for your guests to write a wish in it for you then you can put your wishes onto your christmas tree every year, a lovely sentiment for you to treasure, use them as place names.

good luck with all your preparations Smiley smile

    Hi.

Here are the ones I was thinking of. The images aren't the best quality and they don't do the set justice as they are SO sparkly.

I love all the fancy bits that Jules has posted!

I can't help with decor but if you wanted to really follow the theme through to jewellery etc, I have just mocked up a snowflake side tiara (see below). Plenty of sparkly ideas on my website

I work at a florists and today I decorated some bay trees - very simple idea - ice white sparkly bows wired onto the tree branches, lots of long ribbon tails down the trunk with big multi bows the the top of the trunk, sitting right under the branches, and lots of hanging crystals around the bottom of the trees branches - don't have any photos just now but will have some next week and will gladly post them for you! This wasn't a winter inspired idea as such but would work equally well. The trees also had tiny fairy lights within the branches....

I could also offer you stationery ideas - I don't have any winter themed invitations photographed in my design album at the moment but would happy chat to you about ideas... ****@*********************.**.** - I adore working with sparkle!
