Would people make fun of this as a first dance song

I don’t know who the honeyz are tbh and if anyone mocks you for choosing it (which I highly doubt they would - it’s your friends and family) tell them to p*ss off, and at least you chose something original and personal instead of overused drivel.

I think have whatever you both like and don't worry what anyone else thinks!!! There's always going to be someone that doesn't like ur choice somewhere - in my opinion anything goes as long as you both like it!

I dont know the song, but its really special to you two, so as long as you both want it, and enjoy dancing to it, then thats all that counts. I would think most people would like that its origianl, and special to the two of you x

I have never heard of them. If you and your OH like the song, that's all that matters. If I was attending a wedding of a friend or relative, I would never make fun of their choice of song, and I would hope your guests wouldn't either.

If it's a song that's personal to you then who cares what others think? My in-laws (to be) had that dance song - no limit as their first dance x

You should have the song you both want. You want something memorable and something that means a lot. If this song tells your story then I'm sure your friends and family will enjoy the song and it's meaning too.

I have no idea who the Honeyz are. I have no idea what that song is. Neither of these things matters.

However.

I DO think first dances should be somewhat obvious to at least the couple themselves. I don't really get the 'searching for a song' thing. Apologies if I've misunderstood the process here.

Just a bit of background - The Honeyz were a girlband (trio) fro the UK back in the 90's and are currently on a tv show called the big reunion along with some other bands from when I was a teenager.

Thing is me and H2B are known as the couple who don't dance and me especially I never dance - only time recently was at my sisters wedding after I'd had a few drinks. I'm incredibly self concious when it comes to dancing so I think this is a good song to shuffle to (although we will do some practicing so it's not an awful shuffle!)

I know that song! I think if it's important to you then go for it - and to be honest, how many people are going to remember it besides you and your close family? I don't remember what either of my best friend's had as their first dance, even though I remember watching it happen and enjoying it at the time. It's you two that are going to have the clearest memories of the day, so make it something that makes you happy.
