So yes and no. The main problem would be finding suppliers who are willing to work on Christmas day or at least not without a very big rise in their normal rates. Also I have no doubt that some venues would rather (and make more money) from holding Christmas day dinners. Then there is the issue of guests that have children and couples who want a childless wedding, not normally an issue on any other day but Christmas day the guests would not be wanting leave the kids behind.

So many reasons, but the first that springs to mind is that it would mean those who usually come to us for Christmas dinner (elderly friends and relatives who don't have anyone else to go to) would be on their own.

    That's a very good point I missed.

Perhaps Hitched can do a poll on new years eve weddings which I have shot a few of. But I only shoot weddings locally so I am still home in time to back up images and get party my froc on Smiley xd but I wouldn't stay for midnight.

Yes, because at this moment in time I don’t have children and we can make Christmas Day any day, for example we are celebrating on the 22nd this year, but if I had children the answer would be no as it would be all about them. My husband however would say no as he likes to be at home for Christmas.
