* bride and groom to wear flip flops (bride also gets big sparkly shoes for ceremony!)

* Dinner party evening including guests choosing and eating what they like, port, cheese and banter - no disco/ dj/ 200 people watching us awkwardly first dance

* After dinner beach campfire/ candles/ snuggly rugs/ whiskey supping/ gentle music

* praying desperately for sunshine!

- Best day of my life

- Over far, far, far too quickly!

- Very joyful (and quite long!) church ceremony with holy communion

- LOTS of music (Britten, Purcell, Stanford, Ley, Whitacre, Durufle, Widor...)

- Fabulous flowers in abundance (freesias and roses)

- Dark green, ivory and silver colour scheme - simple but elegant

- Walking down the high street with all our guests from church to reception - made quite a spectacle!

- Cosy, friendly, informal wedding reception where everyone felt comfortable and relaxed

- No receiving line!!! Just mingling and nattering

- Lots of children running around!

- Wedding favours handmade by our parents (homemade jams, marmalades and honey set in a little wooden gift box)

- Delicious food and drink, and lots of it!

- The most chocolate-y wedding cake in existence (possibly)

- Ceilidh dancing with abandon until the end of the night

3. Chapel Wedding (Roman Catholic - I'm Catholic from Birth and Carl converted from CofE to become a Catholic recently so we would both be the same when we got married) ?

5. White silk shoes with hand embroidered crystals covering the shoe and heel (3 or 4 inches tall)

6. A chance to show appreciation to our nearest and dearest, we have splashed out on our attendants gifts...they are worth it!!

7. Honeymoon is a SUPRISE! OH booked it and I have no idea until our wedding night where we are going!

8. Big sit down Wedding Breakfast with 3 courses, sorbet refresher course and cake. So technically 5 courses! 114 people for sit down!

9. First dance and then Father Daughter dance, a chance to have a special moment with the most important men in my life

10. NOT a bridezilla. I know what I want and will go far to get it but I don't throw tantrums or treat people badly to get it!

11. Getting ready at my parents house where I grew up Staying in my bedroom and everything, no hotels for me till the day!

12. Table names instead of table numbers and big framed table planner, we had it framed professionally, massive ornate frame.

13. One of the first ever Metropolitan Police cars as our wedding car, with lights on top in shiny black, very old! Lovely car!

14. Having an American Rehearsal Dinner the Thursday before hand, not big but 25 people and our favourite restaurant.

15. Harpist, Organist (for rehearsal) pianist for wedding breakfast and DJ for evening reception
