This is my first post. Partner and I recently got engaged. We want a civil ceremony but for a large group (around 150 or so). We're hippies so would love something quite low key and informal with a big focus on music (as my partner is a mjsicia ). I've had a look at using a hostel as this would be a great way to see friends and family over the weekend and have somewhere for people to stay. The YHA in Ilam and Hartington Hall have licences for wedding ceremonies..we.also thought this might be a lower cost option. Don't mind spending a bit but on principle don't like the idea of spending a fortune in 1 day. Got a brochure for Ilam for 2021. With weekend hire of the centre and catering.and drinks.added on.(you can't bring your oen) we're prob looking at around £12k for our numbers which is considerably higher than we would like to spend. Does anyone have any ideas of venues in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire that is like a hostel setting but is less costly??
