Why weight gain around period?

So, yesterday I was 8.13. Period came. Been eating well. Today i'm 9.1. 2lbs in a day! Why? Please tell me it'll go by Tuesday if I continue to eat well and resist the chocolate. I'm only 1.5lbs from goal.
