I think my washer dryer has just packed up....left it on a wash while I nipped out, came home and the whole ground floor was covered in a 'mist' and there was a burning smell.☹️ So, I need a new one. Any recommedations?

I have a HP Photosmart D5160 printer. It just won't print - the red exclamation light is flashing and there is a line going around in the message screen but nothing else. I've tried the manual and the HP website but no joy. Can anyone help?
