Yes I have the church, venue and photograph booked then my best friend is a hair dresser and my other is a beautician :-) so getting there lol although I am a super organised person

We've booked venue, registrar, DJ, photographer and florist. I've designed the table numbers and table plan, bought the invitations, and bought everything to make the decorations. I'm off work ill today, so hoping to start sketching out ideas for the centrepieces (except that my drawing ability is non-existent). The cakes are being bought from a local bakery. We're not having a traditional wedding cake, just picking a series of designs from their catalogue, so they've said we don't need to book until about 6months before. We're ttc, so I'm going to get my dress from an outlet about 4 months before the wedding. I've fallen in love with Kitty Chen and Sophia Tolli's designs, but don't want to risk spending thousands on a dress and then getting pregnant and finding it doesn't fit. Having said that, OH is going to China in the summer, so he'd going to take my measurements and get my cheongsam for the evening made while he's there. It should only cost about £20-£40, so if it ends up not fitting and I need to buy a new one then it doesn't matter so much. Shopping for BM dresses is going to be interesting - one of my BMs is in Australia, so we're probably going to end up buying online so that she can see the dress before we buy it. They're sorting out their own accessories, shoes and hair, so that's one less thing to worry about. My friend is going to do my hair and makeup, and another friend who's an artist is going to paint my shoes.

Wowwww your doing amazing!!!! I loved Sophia tolli dresses but when trying them on didn't look right on me so brought a maggie sottero dress as fell in love!! Wasn't what I thought I would like but loved it when tried on!! What colour bm dresses you doing? Yes China make some lovely dresses too so worth a go :-)

I'm thinking of royal blue for the BMs, but not sure because OH may have a blue suit and I don't want them to clash.

Oh, we've also bought my ring as well. It's currently sitting in my dressing table. I think that's my biggest bargain (50% off for ordering straight away and paying cash), closely followed by the cakes, which are going to cost about £175 for 80 people.

Blimey your doing well I keep looking at wedding rings but I've got a emerald cut engagement ring so think might have to have it made as I want it to sit flush! Blue is lovely for bm you gonna go light or royal blue?

I saw a ring in a secondhand shop before we even got engaged and completely fell in love with it. So, once we got engaged, we decided that I should get something similar made for my wedding ring. We were browsing in Birmingham, and happened to walk into a tiny jewellers which primarily focuses on bespoke orders. I showed them a picture of my dream ring, and it turned out that the jeweller I was speaking to had made the original. He still had the sketches and mould, so he was able to make a completely identical ring for me. It would have been out of our budget, but he said if I ordered it that month, and paid cash, he would give me a 50% discount. ?

What a stroke of luck!!!! I am now trying to work out a veil or not? I just don't want to take away the detail of dress but don't like short veils lol any suggestions?

I'll get married 23 July 2017, I feel it's coming soon) I haven't known yet what type of wedding ceremony we are going to have, so I felt at least confused.. I install special app on my mobile phone to count days it helps me to manage my time)

I'm loving planning our wedding, I have a wedding folder with different sections, loads of cut outs and pictures. I've found my dress but now just need to save for it as its a fortune but I can't stop thinking about it! Have any other 2017 brides found there dress yet? X

Cant believe how much everyone has booked, I have a venue and that's it. Always start to panic when I come on this board!!!

I'm the same AshleyB230685... We're only just looking at a venue... I bought two flower girl dresses because they were a bargain.... I'm enjoying going to fairs to much to settle on a theme too ha ha xx

I really want to start looking at dresses but everyone is telling me it's too soon! I'm worried I'll change my mind as I'll have 2 years to think about it!

I was a bit like you Daniellax but the designer I liked look 7-8 months to make so I thought I'd best be early rather than late and absolutely fell in love with the gown and a bonus they were doing 25% off :-)

My GP has just agreed to refer us for fertility treatment (probably straight to IVF, given my medical conditions), so definitely not a good idea for me to be looking for dresses yet lol.

I hate how long it is until our wedding! There's nothing else I can do at the moment. It's too early to book the cakes, the florist doesn't want to meet for a consultation until end of this year, we can't give notice, it's far too early to book the honeymoon or buy dresses. ARGH! So today I've just been playing with aqua beads for one of the centrepieces. Imagine this with some oasis in the flat base of the bowl, hidden by the aqua beads (or possibly a blue mix instead), then flowers/foliage sticking up through the aqua beads in the centre.

I'm planning on us getting married Summer 2017 (I work in a school so can only take school holidays off) although this is subject to change depending on cost

We have the venue booked, the square tower Portsmouth.Booked the caterer, spoke to the photo booth people,asked my bridesmaids. Now saving and getting fit before i go dress hunting!x

We've booked our church ceremony and reception venue. I've paid a deposit for the company that's doing chair covers and I've decided on my colour scheme. I've bought a few decor bits from Hobby Craft (table confetti, name cards). I'm currently looking for a photographer and hoping to book cars soon. Other than that going to leave it alone til next year.

Can't help with the veil - I don't think I'm going to be having one. Maybe worth posting a new thread on here, to see if anyone else has used them?

Spending this evening working on keeping down the budget down - we've been looking at honeymoons and got our hearts set on an absolutely epic holiday. It's going to be so amazing. Managed to get the budget down to about £12,500 so far, but I'm pretty sure we'll be able to cut costs more once we're in a position to start looking at some stuff properly (quotes for florist, dresses, suits etc). At this rate, the honeymoon will cost more than the wedding lol.

So Exited Already!

We have booked the church, dj and are having a meeting with our wedding photographer tonight we have provisionally booked the venue just need to pay the deposit, haven't tried any wedding dresses on yet hoping to go with my best friend and maid of honour soon x
