Family are getting plus ones. Friends aren't getting plus ones. Some friends will attend as couples, but that's because we are friends with both of them.

If I were invited to a friend or family member's wedding, but OH wasn't, it wouldn't bother me as long as I would know other people there. I've attended a couple of weddings without him because he's had other commitments he couldn't get out of.

We arent doing plus ones at all. Most of our family and close friends are in relationships and will be invited together. Those that are single arent getting a plus 1 but will no plenty of people at our wedding.

Think I may have found my photographers now! Great photos from what I've seen, really reasonably priced too at £750 for 2 photographers for the whole day! Just waiting to hear back from them now and hopefully can arrange an appointment to discuss!

Im thinking of sending 'save the date cards' as well as the bridesmaids and groomsmen cards out with the Christmas cards this year... Do you think that would too early to send them as it would still be about 18 months before the big day?? ?

I don't think it is too early for save the dates. We are getting married in August so I want to give people plenty of notice so they don't book holidays.

I think 18months before is too early. People won't even be thinking about what they're doing in 2017 (unless they're getting married lol), and there's a risk they'll lose the STDs, which sort of defeats the object. I'm trying to work out how to send mine without incurring massive postage fees. I'm thinking of hand delivering as many as possible.

Some of our family live miles away so I will have to send them via post.... When do you think is a good time to send them?? About 12 months in advance?? ?

We will be sending ours about 12 months in advance as we are getting married the 1st Saturday of the Easter holidays and as a lot of our friends book their holidays a year in advance we thought it better for us xxx

I was not going to bother with save the dates as we only having 50 to the day but we are not inviting kids so maybe it will give couples a heads up babysitters??

We're getting married on Maundy Thursday, so sending Save the Dates out at the beginning of April 2017.

I've already sent my bridesmaid cards out, fiancé asked his brothers in person to be groonsmen coz he didn't want to do cards. Our save the dates arrived in the post yesterday, giving them out in November which will be 18 months before. We're getting married at the end of May so it'll be bank holiday weekend, plus it's a Friday so people will need to book time off work. They're magnets so nobody should lose them :-)

I was looking at magnet ones but don't know where to get them from for a good price.... My bridesmaids mostly know just thought it would be nice to do it official.... One of his groomsmen lives in oz so going to ask him at Christmas so he can save to come back.

Ive just ordered my Save The Dates!! Gold old Vistaprint! We have about 90 for the day and family that live away. We wont be sending formal invites out until a year away as we want to give people plenty of notice.

Vistaprint had a good selection of Save The Date magnets, about £8 for 10.

I designed my own ones and the got the company 'Bagz of Bugz' to print them in magnets. Cost me £28 including P&P for 35 magnets. A lot of our guests are families who live at the same address or people in house share situations so we've done 1 per household

All I've done is book our venue, registrar & photographer.

Haha I've not even done that yet... Booking venue nearer to Christmas.... All I've done is buy a couple of flower girl dresses cause they were a bargain... I've been mostly window shopping ????

Found a wedding ring designer who comes to your home to discuss designs etc and appears no dearer than the shops!
Just slightly miffed thta our venue has changed its wedding packages and they are so much better so contacting them tomorrow to see what can be done
Oh and found a fab pianist
So much for my chilled relaxed attitude to this wedding hahaha

Another 2017 bride here!

We're having a weekend wedding in North Yorkshire with the actual ceremony taking place on the 8th July. So far only the venue and registrar booked, but have asked all the bridesmaids/best men etc.

Me and my fiancé live in Switzerland (originally from the UK) so it's interesting planning an abroad wedding but the other way around! In order to give notice we have to come and stay for at least 7 nights before the appointment, so looks like an England holiday next year to get all the official bits sorted and other wedding planning!

Our save the dates are having to go out pretty soon, we have a number of cottages available on the property available for guests but we need to reserve however many before the end of the year so adding a card with information about that and anyone who is unsure there's a village nearby that has plenty of b&b's so still have the option to stay. We know out of our families who will be staying so it's mainly to friends that we need to confirm.

Apart from that I'm spending A LOT of time on Pinterest and very little decision making!

Save the dates have been ordered

Just emailed my chosen chair cover/sash supplier asking for the order form

Just emailed a photographer asking to arrange a meeting

I have found the most amazing bridesmaid dresses on etsy

I decided on and priced up my centrepieces, decorations and bouquets

We have decided on suit colours for h2b and his tribe of groomsmen

i have an appointment at the nearest bridal shop which carries the designer of weddin dresses I want to try!!!

Yup. I'm turning into bridezilla!!!!! How are you getting on?! Xx

I've had my first dress appointment today. I thought I'd found the one, but got home & now feel very confused. Probably going to take my Mum to look at some in Bristol when I go down to see my Nan sometime before Christmas. Going to a wedding show with my BM next week as well, so I'll try some on then just for fun.

We went cake tasting yesterday. It was so exciting! We have chosen a three tier with cupcakes. It looks amazing!

I think we have decided on our photographer. Just waiting for him to confirm that he is still available. I came across a few strange ones on my search!

I've also booked the accommodation for the weekend of the wedding for close friends and family.

After the photographer, I think I will start looking at save the dates and florists.

i am going to a wedding fair next weekend with my mum and bridesmaids so hoping to try so,e dresses on then. I don't want to go looking properly until I have lost a stone! X

We met with a photographer yesterday, really loves his work!! Think we will book eeeeek!!

desperately trying to eat on plan, I need to shed some weight before trying on wedding dresses in November!! Anyone else loosin weight or dieting? I'm a slimming world member xx

I am going to start my diet after xmas. I am going to try dresses on around April time. Going to give myself plenty of time to lose weight/tone up.
