2023 wedding- is it to early to go dress shopping?

Catherineann, 9 October, 2020 at 21:18 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hi All,

We are getting married in September 2023 and with this year being a little bit s*^t I just want to go and start looking at dresses. Is it too early and has anyone had a recent Covid wedding dress shopping experience and how was it ?

    Hello!

Congratulations on your engagement! I thinking you are definitely making the right decision in waiting a bit longer for your wedding with everything that's happening with Covid19 this year and mostly next year as well. I also chose to wait longer for my wedding which is on 27th march 2022 and I'm really looking forward to going dress shopping and decided to wait until at least later next year before properly trying dresses and eventually buying one! I think you should probably wait a bit longer to get a better experience.

    Hi!

Congratulations on your engagement! My Fiancé and I aren't getting married until November 2023 and I actually went for my first dress appointment last weekend! I personally think its never too early to start narrowing down what you like and what looks fantastic on you. I booked one for last weekend because I'd walked past my local bridal shop and absolutely fell in love with a dress in the window so decided I just had to try it on.... It did not suit me at all! However, I did try on another one while there, which is 100% going to be my dress so now I have more time to save for it as it was a bit over budget!

My local shop were fantastic with the new covid regulations. I was the only bride in the shop but my mum and bridesmaid could still come for those all important opinions! (It was actually lovely not being surrounded by loads of other people as I'm quite self conscious). Masks/visors were worn at all times so it was safe and it was still a wonderful experience.

    Smiley smile

Never too early I don't think !! I'm glad I did as I spread the cost in three payments, even though I had a small budget. I ordered from the bubbles bridalwear website, and ordered one of the made to order dresses. All the dresses on there were really good value, only took a few weeks to come and was really happy with mine. Was a little worried about ordering online, but glad I did as I saved alot of money. I opted for a mid-price one, and that was only a few hundred and its lovely xx
