Alcoholic drinks from yester year

Lambrini, it tasted vial but was always so cheap!

I had half forgotten about Lambrini! I used to love pineapple Bacardi Breezers when l was at university.

I just remember lots of vodka in all kinds of combinations. Skittle vodka, vodka with coke, vodka with lemonade. Then 'graduated' to gin and lemonade at the age of 18 or so. I can't bear vodka now, it makes me feel ill instantly! Sometimes we drank Lambrini if it was a girls' night.

The boys used to drink some filthy type of cider called Frosty Jack's...

Madog 20/20, no idea why it was so called but we used it in EVEYR cocktail we ever made at uni..

Any cheap strong cider, Clan Dew, Thunderbirds, MD20-20, Castaway, ugh ugh ugh.

We used to drink cinzano! We used to buy lemonade but never used it. Just drank the Cinzano straight! Any white cider too as it was cheap and only 20/20 on birthdays as it was expensive!

Also occasionally strong lager like skol super but only when poor. The best ones were the sh*t mixes made up from bits out of the parents drinks cupboard and ALWAYS topped up with blackcurrant!

My tipple used to be Diamond White, not sure how I stayed standing half the time as it was so strong!!

It actually makes me boak thinking about it, but Ice Dragon. It was a rediculously high percentage cider that tasted vile.

I used to drink K Cider and MD 2020. They were the cheapest thing the dodgy off license down the road to us stocked. Vile, vile, vile!

Uggh its making me feel a little sick reading all these blasts from the past!

I recall/drunk all the above at some point but my special when I was about 14 was a big bottle of laser cider, drunk through one of those giant straws that have sherbert in

When I was 18ish i liked Smirnoff ice but but in our local nightclub it was really expensive so had to settle for VK orange

Yep, most of the above, as a teen I used to drink Strongbow, Thunderbirds, 20/20, Apple Hooch and Lambrini.

Hooch is the only thing I remember from my proper youth (as in 15) that isn't available today.

I liked Archers and Lemonade/Malibu and Coke when I was about 16 or any form of ridiculously sweet cocktail. I usually had alcopops in uni, especially when they were £1.00 a bottle. My favourite was VK cherry which tasted just like those Cherry Drops sweets.

You can still get Hooch! I had some in November when I was in Folkestone. I couldn't drink it all as it was in a huge bottle (bigger than it used to be). Only lemon flavour.

The place I had it is called Googies. It's run by friends of my DH. Even though we went there at 11am I couldn't resist having a bottle as soon as I saw it in the fridge!

Hooch is the one I remember mostly and I see it has returned. I used also drink Lamvino (poor man's lambrini £1 a bottle as opposed to £1.59, every little helps), Castaway, 20/20 (we used to drink this in shots) and there was also one called Jammin' that nobody remembers. We also used to raid one of our friends' parents drinks cabinet for Raki!! I could vomit at the thought.

Been racking my brain about the name of the alchopop I loved. Just remembered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooh I loved Metz too. It was very sugary though, almost made my teeth itch!

20/20 was a firm favourite as were the VK drinks.

Ah yes I stand corrected. I do recall seeing someone post something on Facebook about Hooch making a comeback. Although aren't the new bottles massive?!

Lambrini was one, although it did taste of cat p1ss. My favourite was Reef, was like drinking orange juice.

I loved these !! But could drink them soooo quickly. I also liked Metz and Reef

Haha that is too funny! A remember a friend of mine used to make "cocktails" with Cinzano and Thunderbird!
