Any June 2022 Brides?

Hello! I’m June 1st 2022! So far I’ve booked our venue photographer/videographer and mini golf ? about the book our band but it’s such a tough decision! how are you doing with the planning? X

11th June for us. We’ve booked venue, photographer, registrar and we’re in talks for wedding breakfast Oh and we’d booked a really nice holiday for next year as we knew we’d not get away this year so we’ve moved that to be our honeymoon!
Are you finding it harder with Covid and lockdowns to speak to people? X

Oh so lucky on the honeymoon front! Haven’t even thought about ours yet haha. We’re definitely struggling to hear from suppliers and they are taking a lot longer to reply but I guess that’s covid impacts. Have you managed to get wedding insurance? I only found 1 supplier and really don’t know if it’s worth it xx

I got engaged Christmas Day and I have already pencilled in flowers, photographer and band ( we are Lucky to have friends that do these for a living ) I’m just too excited - just need to organise venue and date but looking tot august 2022?.

View quoted message I bought ours two days ago with Wedinsure. After discussion we felt it was worth it as we are spending 25,000 on the wedding. I know covid doesn’t cover but we’re just checking our venues and suppliers cover us for that before booking. It still covers for all over things like before so seemed worth it!

We've booked ours for the 18th June 22. We've managed to book everything, all booked before covid though. The only thing I need to sort is wedding insurance. I am just worried that suppliers will go under.
I wouldn't worry too much about running out of stuff to do you'll always find something...well I have been anyway ? x

Re dates - we are really open to dates just whatever they have available! But the fact some many have limited availability has definitely started to worry me a bit!

Hiya! Congratulations! I just got engaged on New Year’s Eve and I’m such a Monica I already know my ideal date (4th June 2022) and venue so I’m waiting for them to get back to me to see if it’s available... I’m not feeling hopeful as I know a lot of 2020/2021 weddings have been pushed back, but keeping my fingers crossed anyway!


Had not even considered insurance yet, something else to go on the list!

Its such a weird time though, I go through phases of being really excited and eager to plan but then other weeks I almost forget we are getting married. We've got our venue and photographer down but nothing else as yet. Eager to sort out a registrar next.

A little nervous about booking much else right now because of everything going on and also struggling to get a decent wedding insurance policy in place, the one we found (can't remember the name, we live in the UK) said that it wouldn't cover anything directly or indirectly affected by covid... so would that cover businesses going bust?

We have booked 25th June, got most things booked, church, venue, venue stylist, dj, entertainment, cake, flowers are sorted. I am just hoping and praying we can have a 'normal' wedding

View quoted message It really wouldn't shock me! We have said if that is the case we will still get married with immediate family and then when we are our of lockdown renew our vows and have a reception.

We talked the other day and wouldn’t want to do what we currently have booked if it couldn’t go ahead as “normal” it’s just too expensive to do to not have everyone we want there x

View quoted message Yeah we would postpone everything except for the church, we would still say our vows with parents and siblings then say 2023/2024 if things were 'normal' have a renewal of vows at church and then the proper reception, 2022 would more than likely be a family meal if the proper wedding doesn't go ahead. We want to be husband and wife regardless, yeah I obviously want a party who doesn't but to us the most important part is saying our vows so that will still go ahead as planned.
