1st Wedding Anniversary

Soybean, 17 January, 2012 at 10:42 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

Ours is coming up in March (same date as Mrs C! ) so was curious what you lovely ladies did for your first anniversary as am trying to choose somewhere to go. Has to be in the UK and planning to go for 2/3 nights. Was thinking log cabin and hot tub but it seems really expensive. Any places you have been you would recommend for a few nights? ?

    Woooooooooooo!

We can't really go away as Mr C works in a school ?

We did a driving tour up to Scotland and the Lake District last Summer, would highly recommend either destinations.

Hot tub in the cold weather sounds fab (although was 20 degrees on our wedding days!)

As for the 'Paper' presents - I am currently stuck for ideas.

Thought about the boudoir shoot thing but not sure it would go down too well (not the photos, the fact I did it without him!! ?)

I was going to write a letter about our wedding and first year, like a proper old fashioned love letter.

I have booked this place for a few days after our wedding in July and thought the prices were very good, considering they are luxury and have a sauna and hot tub in each lodge. They have prices on the website as well Smiley smile

Definately. After you have pushed that baby out he never needs another gift again. You on the other hand are entitled to anything you want forever!

Awww that's a shame ☹️ you could go away the weekend before? as our anniversary is on the Monday, Yes we were so lucky with the weather weren't we! and the moon was the closest to the earth so we had an amazing huge moon over the sea for the evening do..the perfect day. Must admit I was a little worried when it poured all day on the friday!

    A lovely letter sounds fantastic!

    Thanks for the Scotland recommendation.

The letter is a really lovely idea Mrs C.

I'm going to buy Mr J shares in Nintendo for our 1st wedding anniversary.

We've just booked a holiday for it too... now, this might make us officially the most pathetic couple in the world but we're going to go back to the same hotel we spent our honeymoon in. Even booked the same room!

We stayed in a hotel in Covent Garden for a night, had a lovely meal out and a spot of sightseeing too! Have you considered somewhere like a B&B in the New Forest...stunning down there, really romantic setting IMO!

Present wise, I got my H one of these as his paper related gift, amongst other bits and bobs
