Me too, I'm sick of looking at websites now, want to go to the shops.

Have just booked venue and registrar so far, going to a wedding fayre in Oct then going to start looking in the New Year.

We have the venue booked too but again that's all...I suppose that's one of the down falls of early planning, get too excited and want everything now On the upside you have time to choose & get good prices!

We have church, venue, rings and dress sorted and have an idea of what we want for pretty much everything else, just got to get it booked/made - but then I have been researching and planning since April 2007 when we got engaged, lol!

Wow I don't think I could contain myself for that long!

When are you getting married? We know who we want for evening DJ, Cake, Flowers & Photography & I know which shops I want to visit for dresses but I didn't want to get to ahead of myself!

I can't wait to try dresses!

lol I know, I'm sure I've gone half mad and bored everyone I know to death by now, but in fairness it was never meant to be that long, just life got in the way - buying a place together, saving up and some other unforseen circumstances. I'm just glad it's all systems go now *touch wood*!

Dress was kind of an accidental purchase - I was living with my sis (chief bridesmaid) before and we thought we'd go out and have a girly day looking at dresses before I moved out, typically there was no looking but lots of trying on and the perfect dress just happened to be the first one I tried on and it was a sample of a dress that was being discontinued so I bought it there and then cos I was too afraid that I wouldn't find anything else as lovely! No dress wobbles...yet!

We are getting married 2nd June 2012 - we got engaged Xmas Day 2009 (been together 6 years) I have been organising it since then really! got reception and church booked and have put a deposit down on dress...!!

I'm excited just spending all my money on wedding magazines and going to wedding fayres really then it's planning year in 2011!!

I think i'm also driving everyone mad! i seem to be unable to think about or talk about anything other than weddings! Honestly you'd think i was the first ever person to be getting married! slightly annoying i'd imagine but i'm only doing this once so i'm making the most of it and that's that ?

I'm going to try on dresses for the first time on Nov 12th this year. booked a girly night in at a local bridal boutique and can't blinking wait!

So far we have a beautiful church, minister from H2B's childhood booked, reception venue and accomodation. STD's waiting to be sent, 102 glass jars gathering dust in spare room for favours, wooden shabby chic style hearts waiting to be painted / stamped (also gathering dust) small goodybag filler gifts for bridesmaids, mothers and grooms men and to keep me occupied until i can actually do something im now making wine glass charms! Ah the excitment of it all ❤️

Hey girls, I'm just new to this so congrats to all of you on your impending nuptials! We're another couple set for getting married on the 25th August 2012. So far have the church, venue and photographer confirmed. Got a feeling the next few years are going to fly by! lol

We don't have anything booked yet. We've looked at a fair few venues but just haven't been able to make up our minds! We're going to look at our 2 favourite ones again next week so hoping to have made a decision and booked something before the end of the month.

All I've really done so far is made our save the date cards and started designing invites, place cards etc...

So far we have book our venue, registrar and photographer. We have also bought the bits for our invites because i'm making them so it gives me plenty of time!

I don't plan to look at dresses until next summer (when i've lost some weight, hopefully!) Although i'm going to start looking at bridesmaid dresses about March time next year because they will determine the colour theme of the wedding. x

Thanks for the replys...seems most of us are at the same stages or thereabouts!

It's all very exciting, I am exactly the same, all I think about is weddings lol, lets just hope it doesn't drag too much...will be better next year as we can all start planning & buying!

After much hassle we have FINALLY booked our venue (for the second time!) WE ARE OFFICIALLY GETTING MARRIED 23 JUNE 2012 YAAAYY! Therefore can you please change my date on the list. It doesnt quite feel real yet because we have had so many complications hopefully things will run as smoothly as possible for wedding planning from now on!!!?? Gosh im so naive!! haha

Sooo... I feel so disorganised in comparision to everyone else but we have now booked our

Wedding venue (Rufford Mill)

Reception venue (Rufford golf and country club)

And registrar! Yaayyyy

Im currently looking at Photographers, if anyone has any recommendations it would be a great help! I would need one in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area or one willing to travel to Nottinghamshire and I want a really contemporary photographer (am I right by thing this style is called "reportage"?)

What else do I need to do as a matter of urgency? when should I start trying dresses on?
