He he, this is the 1st thing I was going around telling everyone at NYE, I get married next year!! seems really strange saying it!

Were doing quite well at the moment, the list so far goes like this:-

    Church booked/deposit paid

    Venue booked/deposit paid

    Cars booked/deposit paid

    Photographer booked/deposit paid

    Mens suits booked/fully paid

    Bridemaid's/Flower girls/Best Man/Page Boy gift bags bought

Started buying parts of the BM gifts/Pageboys

Chair covers have someone booked - no deposit paid as yet (still getting other quotes)

Cake - have choosen someone to make it, have ideas of what we want and this will be more organised this year (friend of my cousin who is a cake maker is making it, she lives in London so will be going down to see her and take wedding cakes!)

Entertainment - starting the search now, have about 3 at the moment to choose from, have got quotes just trying to get to see them in person

Flowers - starting to search now, again have an idea of what I want, but pricing is more than I thought it would be!

My dress - the search is yet to start!!

Centrepieces - have no idea! keep changing my mind due to prices! everything I want is too expensive!

How about you? where are you at with everything?

We are getting married at a lovely hotel so the deposit is paid and we have just stated saving every bit of spare money possible…. Everything is under one roof so no cars needed, which is a saving. A friend at works husband is giving me a quote for the photos so we are cutting costs there. We have chosen the men’s suits but not booked them yet! I am looking at the M&S cakes as my sis in law had one from there and it was lovely and only cost £60. I am looking at silk flowers and you are correct, the prices for flowers are pricey. I have booked my make up as the lady was sticking to last years prices for me. I am just waiting for quotes for my hair. I have seen so many lovely dresses, but my dream dress is expressive… I need to try some on but I am trying to lose weight…. Centerpieces are a nightmare ha we are not having wedding favors. What presents have you bought for BM etc? The venue supplies the chair covers so I have paid my deposit for the table runners and sashes.

I get married 2 weeks before you, exciting times a head! X

You have done rather a lot. Well done! I need to contact the register office to speak to them. What colour is everyone’s theme? Ours is red satin. I am just so exciting and can’t think about anything else. How do you attach pics? X

You seem pretty sorted yourself, think over the next few months I will get in touch with different hairdressers etc and try and book them, am actually going home as it were (to my parents address) so will have to look at hairdressers while am down visiting.

Were not having wedding favours as such, but were having a New York theme so I am having Shiney Green Apples with leaf shaped luggage tags on them, doubling up as place names and favours! although think we will go down the line of having a sweetie table so that can be counted as favours also!

For the Bridemaids, am keeping with the NYC theme and have got Bloomingdales "little brown bags" and am going to have NY perfume, SATC Make up gift sets and SATC compact mirrors, for the little Flowergirls/Pageboy i have Macy's bags and will fill them with a toy each and a little plaque that reads "thank you for being our flowergirl/pageboy.

There was a thread yday about flash what you have - i have put a few of my things on there if you want to have a look.

I've seen bridemaid dresses i want (have put a pic on that thread also) but am yet to go out and try dresses on with for my bm's or myself - hoping to do so over the next couple of weeks!

    Very exciting times indeed!!

    Hi

Our theme is Ivory with a splash of mocha/cappuccino and dusky pink.

We provisionally booked our registrar as i had heard you could do it up to 2 years in advance and even then there were only 2 times available left to choose from.

We are really lucky as my sisters BF is a professional photographer- so he is doing it for free and my H2B best friend is a hairdresser, so she is doing it for free too!- Saving us lots of money.

Good luck with your plans- it's so exciting when it all start coming together- i know i'm an organised person but can't believe how it's all come together. We only got engaged on October 27th last year!

We're planning to go for April/May 2012. However we haven't booked anything yet - we got engaged at the end of August and thought we'd get a venue booked before christmas but then we found out how expensive venues and catering tend to be so we have carefully planned out a budget and went back to looking for more reasonably priced places.

I'm feeling a bit panicked after reading what everyone else has done...

Hi Taz- don't be. You have plenty of time to plan things- I'm just over organised!

Main thing is to search for venues and provisionally book registrar. Everything else can fall into place after than. some people plan wedding in less than 2 months!

    Congrats and happy planning!

Wowsers everyone's got loads sorted! So far we have:

Booked church - Deposit being paid tomorrow.

    Booked venue - Deposit paid.

Tog booked, deposit will be paid this month.

Dress ordered, due in Aug - Eeek!

    Tiara and necklace bought.

We are starting to look at florists and cake people now so should have that sorted in the next couple of months or so. Really looking forward to wedding planning this year, as we can start to get all the small details sorted. And hopefully the colour scheme, as I have no idea what I want at the moment!

Hi there, new to all this! Got date sorted (3/6/2012), venue and registrar booked and deposit paid. That's it! You are all so organised! I have obviously started becoming obsessed with wedding dresses and wondered if any of you have any idea of designers at the cheaper end of the spectrum??? Don't want to go and look somewhere where I have no hope of affording anything!!!! I am in Northamptonshire so if anyone else has ound any good florists/cake makers/ photographers etc let me know!

Omg you lot are so organised I feel stressed now after reading all that!

We are getting married 4th Feb and all we have booked so far is the venue. Other than that I have made the save the dates, chosen stationary for the invites which i will be making myself, bought lots of jars for the sweetie table, and got some cute lawn signs from Vistaprint (only because they were free ? )

Think I've got my work cut out for me over the next few months!!

I sent her a pic of a BM dress I liked and she made a sample dress for me which came just the other day and I love it! Anyway, the 1st pic is of the pic I sent to her to copy and the other 2 are of the sample dress she made and sent and for £40-£50.00 for a BM dress is a total bargain too!

We're gettting married 25th August 2012 and this is where we're up to so far:

    Church - booked

    Venue - booked, deposit paid

Dress and shoes and tiara - bought, fully paid and in my possession:-D

Rings - bought, but still need to get them engraved

BM dress - know what we want but yet to order it

Flowergirl dress - bought - an eBay bargain!

TOG - think we've finally narrowed it down but yet to book

Florist - have chosen who we're going with, but yet to book (spotting a pattern here yet?!)

    Cake - booked, deposit paid

    Caterers - booked, deposit paid

Ice cream trike - Again, needs to be booked

Entertainment - Got a couple of options in mind, but need to explore them more fully

Centrepieces - vases bought, will get flowers nearer time

    STD's - made and sent

Invitations - know what I'm doing and have the bits and pieces but will make later this year

Have also chosen colour scheme (navy blue and pink), made bunting, ring pillow and garter, bought a cardbox (vintage suitcase), some pink paper balls as dec's, er can't think of anything else at the mo. Not having cars and not sure whether to get professionals for hair and make up at the mo or do it myself.

Still have a million crafty things to do though mind you!

Ha, no not at all, you have loads of time! We probably sent ours out rather on the early side but we have relatives in Australia and Italy who we are hoping can make it and wanted to give them plenty of time to save/make arrangements, plus we wanted to send them out with the christmas cards to save on postage, also we still needed to let people know our new address as we've just moved in together this year, so it just kinda made sense to get it all done in one go.
