It looks like our DJ might cancel too due to him being ill......so i am so stressed i am thinking of cancelling our reception for NYE......

M&S called us today to say they have cocked up and our cake wont be ready until next wednesday due to their bakeries being shut over christmas!.....so with just 4 days to go we have no cake to cut and our DJ has just contacted us to say he is ill and dont know if he will be able to do our disco and karaoke.......

I dont know what to do next other than cry!

Awwww sorry to hear that!!! Cake - I would sort it by buying some from supermarket and tiering it up myself and decorating it. DJ - have you got wedding insurance?? Have you paid a deposit ? I'd ask for it back. Also he should be able to recommend someone. Our DJ said he has always got a back-up colleague to step in if he is ill.

Our HIB SandySounds on here can advise! I have emailed her for you! xxxx Good luck! xxx

    Don't panic! I can help.

You can put an enquiry here http://www.weddingdjalliance.co.uk/wedding_dj_suffolk.php and here https://mobiledjdisco.co.uk/mobile-disco-suffolk.html The DJs are very prompt at answering.

As it's very short notice you could also put the enquiry into neighbouring counties from either site.

Alternatively....give me a call on **** 247. I've spoken to a number of our DJs recently who are still available for NYE so I know I can help you.

This might be a bit of a long shot but I work for Morrisons and all our xmas cakes are reduced in price and there are lots of really nice iced fruit cakes which you might be able to do something with. Also when i have been in M&S they have had the different size wedding cakes in store

Ok I'd say you are allowed to cry will help let some of the stress out. Some brilliant ideas above give em a go but if they fail remember that the most important thing in the whole world is that you are getting committed to the man you love . Its not about the cake or the DJ (even though right now they seem huge) Its above love and commitment and you have that in abundance, everything else will just seem tiny when you are stood there next to him in your ceremony xxx

Big hugs mate, I know it's not as you planned but hopefully it can be fixed xxx

Mrs Toosh sorry to hear you are having these last minute issues. There are loads of cakes on sale in supermarkets right now and they could easily be used a s wedding cakes with a bit of decoration. M&S always have the wedding cakes on the shelves in my local branch with the dowels so you may be able to pick a few in your nearest store or any other supermarket.

I hope you get everything sorted

Mrs Toosh, do you have an update for us? Have you managed to find a DJ/cake? Is there anything we could do to help? Fingers crossed you are getting things sorted.

Hurrah! So glad things are working out for you.

In all seriousness, in the New Year I'd write a letter to M&S and see what you can get from them - that was really bad customer service on their behalf and they need to do something to say sorry!

Have a wonderful time on Saturday!
