8 months today!!!!! OMG

OMG!! 8 months too eek! It is going so fast but I'm so excited I can't wait will just miss the planning when it's all over!

I was planning on sending out my invites in May with an RSVP of June so in-line with me btu are you sending day and evening invites at the same time? I was until I saw another post on here which made me think...as awful as it sounds if anyone on the day list can't attend we could 'bump' evening guests to the day so might wait and sending evening invites out later! WDYT?

yes going to send both out together, even if some day guests cant come, a quick phone call to 'bump' up evening guests to day guests is good enough, its all close family and friends so we know who will come and who wont, so dont think we will need to anyway.....

I think most of ours should be coming too as all family mostly but just in case think I might send invites separately!

Planning is going well, think I've done most things I needed to by now, going to have a chat about cakes next wknd...howz yours?

Hi MrsBtobe1980 and Missylou - I'm 8th September too!! Hadn't realised it's 8 months today until I read this thread.

We haven't got our invitations yet (think my Mum would quite like to make them) but we're probably going to send day and evening invites out in mid-May also for an end of June reply date.

We've got most things sorted now, the last big things to do are cake and flowers. We've found the cake we want, just need to book, and am expecting the quote back from the florist in the next week. I'm quite keen to see the flower quote as that's the one thing I haven't got a clue how much to expect it to be.

Hey Bia date twin, sounds like you're at the same stage then! My only two 'big' things left are cake and flowers, florist is booked but need to arrange a consultation to discuss and quote what we'd like and I have an appointment with a cake maker next Saturday!

Hey there...i know 8 mths, where does the time go...

all i have to do are flowers, which me and mum are making, so on the hunt for different shades of purples...my best friend is doing our cake, all picked and love it...other thing to do nearer the time is flower girl dresses, and help mum n MIL with their outfits

Ooh im about the same date.....7th sept i get married cant wait but same as you all cant believe how quick time is going. This has given me a really good idea when to send invites out so thankyou, i was thinking March but now think thats too early!!!

We've got flowers, rings, cake, chair covers etc to do - i best get a move on!!!

Our date is September 15th ? we have only just set the date but I have been planning it and getting things ready for it since last september. Plus we are only having a very small wedding so I'm not bothered by the fact that we only have 8 months to arrange it all... if men can do it in 3 weeks for dont tell the bride Im sure I can do it all in 8 months lol ?

welcome and congrats on setting the date, thats the scarey bit.....and 8 mths is plenty of time, i organised my sisters in 3 mths for her!!!! Mine has been booked since oct 10 so seems long ago, cant wait now tho
