As if its only 5 weeks?! starting to get a bit nervous, most things are sorted now, everyone just needs paying! The closer the day is coming, the more emotional Im getting. My parents kindly gave us £2000 as our wedding present as they knew we were struggling with money which I was absolutely bowled over by a wept like a baby. How about you?

We are getting on ok, have my dress fitting in just under 3 wks then another alteration for the length to be taken up, just wish I could do something huge about my weight, oh well!

We are off to the church on Sunday for the first reading of the Banns (getting a bit excited/nervous) for that, very formal and REAL! ?

Yeah there does seem to be a lot of paying for stuff at the moment (although I can't complain as OH is taking care of all the money stuff as the wedding fund is in his account!).

That was lovely of your parents to do that for you.

There's seems to be loads to do and I feel like I've lost my wedding mojo recently (I'm trying to get it back by coming on here and looking at magazines). Might sort our favours out this afternoon though.

Wow..... can't believe it's only 5 weeks. Said this to my OH this morning. Had a bit of a panic a few weeks ago when I realised how much there is to do. But after doing a load of jobs and getting all our RSVP's in, I'm feeling a bit more on top of things. There's still loads to do but, it feels like it is all coming together now.

    Things that are outstanding:

My dress hasn't come in yet...... may give a another week then will ring the shop- should have been in in August.

    Mens shoes

Bar to organise.... need to source and buy all the drink

On the day stationery to organise including seating plans etc

Meeting with the florist.... next weekend, to finalise flowers

    Suppliers to pay

First dance song to decide on

Mens and childrens gifts to organise

Tally up evening guest numbers and chase a few non responders.

That's off the top of my head so bet there is a few more things!

    How are you getting on?

We've still gotta pay off some suppliers this month and have final meetings with the venue, church rehearsal and florist.

Sort out the favours (all bought) just need to be assembled and sort out the sweets we've bought for the sweetie table etc.

Oh and buy gifts which will be done by the end of this month (have to wait for another pay first lawl)!

Our to-do list is long too ☹️

    - Sort out final dress stuff - I want to get a corset back on my dress

    - Mens shoes and shirts

    - Decide on exact flowers (I'm doing them myself)

    - Buy all the drinks

    - Gifts

    - Children's goody bags

    - Meet with venue and caterers

    - Childrens meals

    - Favours

    - Make seating plan and others ie name places

    - Buy vases for flowers for centrepieces

    - Buy cardigans for myself and bridesmaids

Umm I'm sure there's more but I'm scaring myself so I'm going to stop listing things now!!

Sounds like similar sort of stuff to me really. It's all getting very close and exciting. I'm finding it all a bit surreal really......
