A bit scared.....

Oh teehee, have a ? that sounds hard. Hopefully when your brother says he's going to ask outright he'll still do so with tact and allow your dad to tell you on his own terms what's going on. He maybe doesn't even want to admit things to himself but I'm sure he'll appreciate knowing that you and your brother care so much about him and once it's out in the open he'll be able to talk about it more as time goes on. I hope it goes well.

Thanks. Doesnt help that we only see dad once a year, his partner has more or less become his carer now. He's brought this all upon himself but we feel pretty useless in helping him....

Thanks girls. Well, we learned nothing new, he seemed in fine fettle today. Docs have told him to give up cigs n booze but he wont. He's cut down but he'll never give up. Least there was no scary news but we will still worry. He's only 66, and looks 20 yrs older...

However, brother told me that a relative has cancer and THATS been kept from me but was asked not to bring it up today.....

all my family do is keep secrets from one another, its ridiculous.

Hubby and I have decided to go visit him later in the year, I'm looking forward to that more than my impending holiday with hubby this week!
