Any other 2012 weddings?

Me me me me!!! I am!!

OH proposed on Xmas day, and two weeks later we have our venue booked for Saturday 5th May!!!

Don't know what else to do now. I'm going to start getting some ideas together of things we like, invite styles, centre piece ideas etc. I'm planning to make my own invites, name places, table numbers and centre pieces etc, so will most likely start buying bits and bobs now to spread the cost!

Me as well i think. We haven't book anything, but we're maybe looking at summer or later in 2012.

Sorry to crash but just to let you ladies know that it will come round a lot quicker than you thnk! Right now it might seem ages away, but I joined hitched in March 2008 with just under 2 and half yrs to go. Now with just over 6 months, I can't believe how quickly it has all come round! Good luck with your planning and remember if you have your mind set on particular things then it's not too early to start making/booking/buying.

Exactly what Zippy said! Except I have been engaged since 2006...didn't actually start planning till 2008 though. Honestly it just whizzes by, it's a bit scary actually...I only have 6 months left...arghh!! ?

Hi, my OH proposed on 27th April, I'm going to view my first venue tomorrow and some more Saturday, we're hoping to get married 2nd June 2012. I'm so glad I found this thread, I thought I was being a bit crazy and was starting to look too soon, so am pleased I'm not the only one. I'm really excited about looking at the venues I can't wait!! I'm not really sure what kind of venue I want at the moment so have a huge list now of places to view!! x

Hi Ladies! I'm a 2012 bride to be as well. We're getting married in April 2012 in Jamaica and then having a big party in a marquee at my parents when we get back. There's about 40 of us going to Jamaica and about 150 at the night do. I've already started getting prices together and shortlisted the wedding hotels but not booked anything yet, but I'm not giong to leave it too long! x

We have booked venue, kenwood hall sheffield, 8th sept 2012, so cant wait.

Suits are picked and being paid for this month, as he will freeze the price for us.

Invites picked out, dont need other stationary as venue do that for us!!!! bargin.

Going to start trying dressess on after xmas, love the veromia range, so will prob be from there.

Looking at bridesmaid dresses, as having 5 adults is proving hard work to get them all the style they like.

We're hoping to get married in May/June 2012. I did suggest our 5 yr anniversary which is Sat 28th April 2012 but OH didn't like that idea... Bah!

Im a 2012 bride too - so exciting! Getting married on 27th May, we've got a fair few things booked (bit of a wedding junkie!) - venue, registrar, tog, vog, string quartet, band and piper (friend). cant' wait to get everything else sorted. ?

Ooohhhh me me me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im very excitable. October 2012. Nothing booked yet but lots of wedding magazines bought. My h2b proposed on christmas day and wrapped up a wedding magazine he had picked and bought for me, it was very sweet. We have decided that its definately a small Cyprus wedding with a wedding reception for the family when we get back. I cant wait!!!

Hi all, I've noticed quite a few of you 2012 brides have got your Registrar booked, how??? We've booked our venue for the 1st September 2012 but was under the impression you can't book a Registrar more than 12 months in advance? If this is not true can someone clarify please as I'll be on the phone pronto getting ours booked!?

Our's was booked through our venue. You could try giving them a call and see what they say. x

Me, me, me we're 7th July 2012 which is a day after our ten year anniversary. So far we have venue and registrar book, mine and BM dresses sorted and flowers sorted. Have chosen favours and invite designs and we are going to look at costs of making them ourselves. OH is sorting the cake, kilts and honeymoon, so it's tog (maybe vog aswell) next and then the finer details.

Hiya, I'm new to the site, just fancied a chat, glad to see I'm not the only one planning for 2012.

Getting married 26th May and have already booked, church, venue, caterer, florist, cars, photographer and bought my bridesmaids dresses, that seems a lot but I have been with my OH for 7 years now so i already knew everything I wanted and I didnt want to risk someone else getting there first lol.

Thought I would be bored waiting but have a few wedding shows to go to to look for some favour/stationery ideas etc and still need to book decorator and piper etc, so still plenty to do.

Also not looking for my dress, I dont want to buy one yet and then see a better one a year from now!!!!

I'm a 2012 bride, 21st October.

I am 9th June 2012. So far we have booked, Florist, stationary,TOG,VOG, venue, pianist, DJ, Steel Band, my dress and shoes, Rings, Given notice, cake, chair covers and swagging and tons of decor items.

Just need to get mens suits and BM dresses and comnplete table plan.

Never too soon to start looking!

I am Aug 5th and have nearly everything booked that can possibly be booked. Next job is to get OH looking at suit options this autumn.
