Hello, well I've been back from our honeymoon since last Sat and I'm now a Mrs. It's taken me a while to gather my thoughts on the wedding. It was erm.....mixed to say the least. I'm not writing a report because it might sound a bit negative and I don't want it to come across that way. Had a fair few things go wrong - it was really windy so my lovely curly hair got ruined, the bunting I ordered didn't arrive so had to use venue's white bunting which didn't look as good, all the kids ran wild (literally), same kids trashed my cake and sweet table before the ceremony started, the wedding coordinator ruined our carefully timed and orchestrated ipod disco by jogging it around all the time and to be honest she wasn't the most professional person in the world, my dad forgot to mention me in his speech ?, and to top it off my 7 year old son threw up on my wedding dress at the end of the night. It was possibly one of the most stressful days of my life ?
HOWEVER, the ceremony was lovely, walking down the aisle to a piano version of Cyndi Lauper's 'Time after time' felt brilliant. The actual getting married bit was the best bit of the day. The food was really nice, everyone got merrily drunk, loads of people sent us some lovely and hilarious postcards in our postbox, we did all the traditional things like cutting the cake (with a sword ? see pic), throwing my bouquet and the first dance - didn't plan any of them they just happened. The cupcakes and my daisy flower bouquet were AMAZING! Everyone raved about my dress, which was a relief because I was worried it was a bit too offbeat, my seamstress persuaded me to go whole hog vintage and have an ankle length hemline. Got to see friends who I hadn't seen for ages, everyone 'got' the vintage theme immediately and our family was finally made complete and we are official! So now for the pics....hope you like them and there's not to many, eeeek!
