Best part/worse part of your body?

Sparkly Boots, 10 February, 2009 at 14:49 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 56

So after confessing to lurking more than posting on the recent "Lurker/newbie" thread here is a shot at getting a topic started. I did want to ask how often you wash your towels but I don't need the controversy today!!?

What is your favourite part of your body? What do you hate?

I detest my feet because they're flat and have caused me lots of problems and pain with my legs. My favourite part is my hair because I hardly have to do anything to it, it just hangs there and looks thick, wavy and nice most of the time.

I like my eyes - they are quite an unusual greeny colour, and they are big with thick lashes. (is it a coincidence that 'You're so vain" by Carly Simon is playing on my iPod at the moment?! ? )

The worst part of my body? The rest of it! From my Orphan Annie hair to my hobbit feet ?

Well according to my OH and other previous 'visitors' I have a lovely *** (well, you can guess...)

But apart from that, I like my hair and lips and hate my wobbly arse and thighs (oh and my 'too large' teeth)

Worst: legs. I have elephant legs, they are terrible and always have been, even when I was thin.

Best: boobs (though having a baby hasn't helped in this regard) and height (5'8").

Best: I have nice legs with slim calves and ankles. I like my eyes as they're big and blue.

Worst: I LOATHE my stomach. It's scarred and it won't go flat because of scars. It also hurts quite a lot. I don't like my hair too much either as it's thin and scrappy.

Best is probs my hair colour (red). Used to hate it when I was younger but I like it now.

I used to love my boobs but they've somewhat deteriorated after two children!

Worst - ugh, where to start. From my rubbish monobrow (with only about five hairs in it, so a nightmare to pluck into anything resembling normal people's eyebrows) through to my horrific post birth tummy (seriously, I need a tummy tuck - gawd knows what's happened to my navel but it looks like a 70 year olds) to my nasty feet.

    I really am gorgeous ?

My big fat belly is my worst bit (and it isn't child induced, just food!) I used to have a nice waist. Its a bit thicker than it used to be (old age!) but I can't do much with it because of previously mentioned big fat belly. Best bit now? Not sure, its all hidden under too much fat ☹️

Hmm best is probably my ankles and my feet - I always think they look nice in flipflops!

Worst is definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, my rear - it's huge, round and wobbly.

It's a shame that we're all so quick to name our least liked parts and can often only think of one good part ☹️.

But I bet most of us are just being too critical ?.

MrsB, how can you have a monobrow with only five hairs in? My monobrow is very scary when I don't pluck it often. When I was about 12 I remember a girl at my school commenting on how hairy they were ? and another girl saying "Why don't you shave your legs yet? They're so hairy!". I started shaving my legs that night.

    Best - back. Smooth.

Worst - belly/abdomen. Absolutely revoltingly fat & wobbly, with nice post-section apron. I look like my mother naked. <shudder>

Best: I quite like my boobs, they're not huge but they sit up nicely ?

Worst: my legs, they're like Will Carlings ? and I have no ankles, just cankles ?

I don't really love or hate any of my body, I'm mostly fairly satisfied with the lot. If I had to pick a best bit though I do like my nice small waist and slim hips. Actually I would definitely change my knees, they're really bony and angular, for want of a better description. I quite like my legs but they'd be much improved with smoother, neater knees. It's a shame there's no such thing as a knee job ? I wish I had smaller, perter boobs too, though they do look pretty good in clothes, it's just without that they let me down (literally)!

Best: my legs, although runnig has made them hyper-muscly and they aren't working too well at the moment.

Worst: My (lack of) waist/muffin-top etc. Basically from my bikini line to my boobs I'm not all that ?

Running really has changed the way I feel about my body a lot, though.

Best part is my hands, my nails are nice and manicured all the time and it takes little effort.

Worst part is my spare tyre, if i didn't have it i'd look loads better but no matter how hard i diet it doesn't go.

What sophie said re. legs. These used to be my best bit until I started running (although, having not really run very much at all for 6 months my legs are looking a bit better for it.). Soo, nowadays, probably a toss up between legs and boobs.

My worst is my chin, although if we're not including faces, then I'd say my bum. When I was running 4 times a week, I had beautiful sculpted buns of steel. Now they just look a bit odd. ?

Best - my boobs and my hair. My hair's curly and I used to hate it but I love it now.

Worst - like Sophie said, from my bikini line to under my boobs. I need to shift my muffin top and I know it's mainly beer that's done it. I can never find jeans that are comfortable as they need to be too tight on my hips / waist to look okay on my legs.

I'm sure we're all being far too self critical though..

Best parts: Hair, lips, teeth, breasts, calves and complexion.

Worst: thin, sparse eyelashes, nose (not large/dominating or bulbous but big nostrils!), nails(thin and weak) waist (no definition) and stomach.

Best - erm I like my eyes a lot, other than that I'm pretty happy with my most areas, none are perfect but they all work and they're not unduly mahoosive.

Worst - my thighs, years of rugby followed by years of being a lazy cow means that the muscle has most definitely turned to fat, urgh.

I have been thinking about this but can't think what I like about me.

I normally make the joke . . .'my back, because people always compliment me on it, by saying they are pleased to see the back of me' but being seriously, each part of body I think of there is a negative, either they way it looks, or how it doesn't work because of one of my many health issues.

It's quite sad isn't it, that I don't like my body? Though It doesn't upset me, as I don't see myself as who I am, but what I have. Though of course sometimes I would like to think I look pretty! I am a very vain person.

I am not going to list my worst parts as I don't want to draw attention to them.

Best - Boobs (quite plumptious and yet not heading south just yet), Bum (H generally compliments in this area and i think it generally looks quite neat), Eyes (since I've worn contact lenses I make an effort with my eye make up and am usually happy with the results).

Worst - Toes (they are sooooo long but i do keep them neat and nicely painted in an effort to improve matters), Belly (muffin top a go go unfortunately) and Elbows (particularly pointy and generally very dry - but i am slapping tonnes of moisturiser on them to help with that).

All in all I do quite like my body, not so much for how it looks but more for what it allows me to do. My dad has MS and is disabled, he recently fell from his mobility scooter and fractured his leg. This has caused him all sorts of extra difficulties. It's made me stop and think that whilst i'm not a perfect size 10 and am never likely to be there are a lot of things that I can be very grateful for such as being to walk to whereever I want to be, to bend over and pick something up, to be able to see and hear my friends and family without problem and all that I probably take for granted so generally I'm happy being me and that's just fine. ?

Tough question. (I'm by no means perfect so my good is probably my least bad, as it were!)

Best: legs (except at the moment cos of swollen cankles - nice.)

Worst: stomach (it's always been my worst feature, even when I was at my very slimmest, and is not destined to be flat.)

Best: I like my face and my boobs are a nice size

Worst: I've always hated my stomach. Weirdly it actually doesn't look much different even after having a baby but it's always been rounded and no amount of dieting and excersise had ever made it go flat. I've accepted it more as i've got older. I also hate my ears, they're a bit sticky outy.

I have awful, horrid feet. I have had operations on my toes to try and make them look normal, but they ming. They are all bent and odd shaped. And my feet stink all the time ? ?

    Hate my thighs and tummy.

Love my boobs, eyes and hair.

For the first time ever in my life I am actually quite happy with my body, its by no means perfect but its not bad for a 35 year old, gym-dodger with 2 kids. Its only recently I've been able to think that btw.

If I had the money I'd get new teeth.

I like my legs a lot. They're slim but shapely and I have lovely tiny ankles. Which is why I wear short skirts all the time, so I can admire them in their entirety. I'm so vain ?

Otherwise, I reeeally hate my middle section. I have a tendency towards being apple shaped and so have little waist to speak of. It's gutting, it really is. Everything else is just on the just about OK list, with face shape, teeth and lips not scoring very high marks at all.

I don't like having big feet or chronic knee pain. My boobs are small. The rest I can't complain about as I can change it if I want, and so have ?
