I *think* that is the value of the truck NOT how much they paid to hire it - even so they do appear to be able tp flash the cash very readily and with 'gay abandon'

I felt sorry for those travellers. Where are they supposed to go?

Those poor girls, being treated like slabs of meat! They looked like strippers!

I was thinking the same thing as I was watching it - Paedo's fantasy with them jiggling the way they were and I wouldn't let my 17 year old daughter go out dressed in the clothes they were wearing (not that she would lol) and they're only 6-10 years old. They wear more make up than me!

I find it really wrong seeing kids dressing up as adults in such an extreme way. Childhood is short enough without the kids parents grooming them to find a husband at such a young age. Until I was about 10 all I was interested in was playing ponies or doctors with my friends. I wouldn't have wanted to have put on a mini wedding dress or high heeled shoes or club wear. I know the gypsy culture is different to ours but I do like kids to have the chance to be exactly that - kids!

We had it on record and I had to fast forward through all those bits as they made me incredibly uncomfortable, I don't think I will be watching it again. Culture or not it isn't suitable tv

I am addicted, but the whole "grabbing" thing makes me feel sick. I think they are going into that in a bit more detail next week.

    Brides dress

    MOB make up/tan/dress

    Bridesmaid dresses

little girls writhing around in next to nothing

    ?

It was sad seeing their homes being demolished and people being dragged around by bailiffs though, although I wouldn't want trespassers on my land if I had any.

I never felt sorry for the Gyspy community before now but watching their homes being ripped down was quite sad.

My mum text me last night to say at least now she knows what she's going to have for her MOB outfit!!

It was sad, but am I right in saying that they don't pay any taxes? Maybe the show last night was a bit one sided (just a thought).

I dont feel sorry for them. They call themselves "travellers" but they dont actually travel anywhere. They live tax free and how dare anyone offer them a house or a flat as they arnt used to it!! ?

Not meaning to open up a can of worms here, but they only live on sites because they are not allowed to park wherever they want. It is effectively illegal to travel- the authorities are the ones telling them that they can't travel!

I am not sure about taxes???

As far as im aware, they dont pay taxes. But they still expect to use our doctors (which we pay for!).

I thought it was horrible seeing their homes being crushed, and I dont agree with this. They should be allowed to live somewhere.

As for the grabbing thing - wtf! Im sorry but seriously?! They hurt the girls till they kiss them! How can anyone think thats right?

And who lets there 6yr old daughter wear clubbing outfits and do that sort of dancing.

I was shocked seeing that 6yr old girl getting a spray tan, I used to work in a salon and none of us would have done anything on anyone under 16. (12 at a push!)

Hasn't changed my opinion of them as a community (not a very high one but thats another story!), but it is sad for anyone to see their 'home' torn down surely, regardless of the type of home?

I've had quite a lot to do wtih travellers over the years through the horsey world. Many are very nice people but it does get my goat a bit that they rarely pay taxes where we would have to or we'd end up getting done for it! Just about everything they do in my experience is cash in hand which the tax man doesn't get to see unless he really go searching for it. It's how they are able to afford their huge pick up trucks & enormous weddings! Sorry I know I'm stereotyping but it's something I've seen a lot of over the years. I'd also like to point out it's not just gypsies who do tax fiddles!
