Bouquet colour?!

Pinky6, 15 March, 2012 at 20:02 Posted on Planning 0 27

This is my bouquet, I have asked for it to be white instead but now I am thinking that I prefer it this colour!

I thought white might be more 'bridal' but maybe a bit of colour would be better. What do you think ladies?!

Love it! Definitely prefer colour - it's bridal anyway because you are the bride, and white would get lost against a pale dress. I love vibrant flower Smiley smile

Go with the pink! I find white bouquets a bit boring (sorry to anyone who's having one!!!)

I think the pink too....could be a bit biased as it's very similar colours to mine! Was going to go white but then chose quite a gold dress (not gold but darker than ivory, hard to describe) so white maybe wouldn't have worked. Def still looks bridal. What are you going to have for bm's?

Definitely the pink! Unless you add interesting and textured foliages to white/ivory flowers, then can disappear in the photos against your dress.

I agree with everyone else, you should go with the pink colour. Beautiful bouquet by the way!

I too had orchids in my bouquet, but also a few larger cymbidium orchids & greenery. I personally would have a mix of the all pinky orchids, but also ones with some white (or another colour), just to mix it up a bit. Not all completely white though. Orchids come in a variety of colours, shapes & some with a pinky throat & white petals would look lovely. Here are some for inspiration:

I'm having fusica pink gerberas so I'm a colour bouquet fan! My BM is having white to contrast with her pink dress, so we're opposites if you see what I mean?!

Yes, definitely. There are many, many different varieties both in shape and colour available in this country as lots of them are grown in this country but the more unusual varieties are flown in from abroad for use in weddings by florists here. They normally have to be ordered specially for weddings by your florist.

Oh, you have to go with the pink! its lovely and a splash of colour against a white/ivory dress. Too much white in a bouquet can get lost in the photos. I had some baby pink in my bouquet and my dress was ivory, it wasn't all pink there were some white flowers in as well.

I think with orchids the pink looks much better.

It will be bridal because you're carrying it!

I think colour in your bouquet would look very striking against your dress. What about white and pink?

It's the white orchid with the bright pink middle bit that I was going to have. How about the white orchids but keeping the other things pink? (sorry not good with flowers so no idea what they are called).

Flow I think pink against your dress would be fine, as you keep assuring us that it's not Jordan-esque Smiley winking

    Hi,

It is gorgeous and really accents the dress. Looks amazing and a bit different. Good choice.

The bouquet is lovely! If the bridesmaids dresses are pink you could have the bridesmaid bouquets in white it would be a nice contrast between the two.
