Hiya karen, Oct 8th checking in ?

Ohhh I wish I was feeling like you are, I seem to have gone into meltdown since the weekend with working out the timings for the car/tog etc. We still haven't chosen our first dance and I need to buy gifts, I'll do that sometime this weekend as we get paid again tomorrow (phewww). We need to sort out stuff for the Honeymoon too and its my Hen on Saturday.

I have a dress fitting tonight, it should fit me around the top and waist and then I have another fitting after they finally take up the length.

Have you got much left to do?

I'm wrapping the gifts for Best Man, Mum's and MOH when I get off the ferry on 29th Sept.

Dress fittings completed last month, got a letter from the car yesterday stating the time of pick up. I need to go back to the supplier of the PA for the pianist and hire some disco lights for the friend of my brother who is DJ'ing for us. I'm not having a first dance....

Just got to get OH to tweak the cd of music that he's playing whilst people arrive... I feel that the song 'Me and Mrs Jones' isn't apt for before a wedding when it's all about an affair!

    Hello twinnies!

I've had my first positive wedding dream this week and I feel like we're finally getting there. Everyone keeps asking me what I've got left to do and the only answer I dare give is "a few bits and bobs". I am really excited but a tad stressed that if I don't sort things no-one will. I am a natural stresshead so it's no surprise really.

    My to do list is:

Ring caterer to confirm numbers and agree the beer on tap

Ring band to confirm first dance and tell them I'll be sending a list of songs we'd like the DJ to play and pass on contact details to the venue.

Ring car company and agree timings and confirm contact numbers.

Buy presents for Mums, one of my BMs and H2B. Get H2B to buy presents for his team

    Buy ribbon for flip-flops

Design, print & laminate signs to direct guests & CD stickers for CD basket

Put together surprise photo collection for evening do

Final dress fitting on Friday, run through with the registrar on Saturday and attend wedding fayre at the venue on Sunday (so H2B can see what it will look like set up - he actually asked to go to a WEDDING FAYRE!!!! It only took 14 months!)

Write email to all groomsmen with details of the day. I do not want responsibility for ANYTHING on the day so I've already emailed my girls and will give them contact numbers, etc just in case they need anything.

    Order dollars for honeymoon

And if I get a spare minute make some Sloe gin with the Sloes MIL2B posted up from the Isle of Wight to drink when we get home! Oh, and I have a competition on my horse on Sunday morning... I figure if I'm busy I can't get in trouble right?!

Only 9 working days left now!!!!!! 16 days actual!!!!!!

P.s. Karen, thanks for starting my GL thread. Everytime I see my name I want to read it! x

The gin making seems a good task to take your mind off things. Good luck for your competition on Sunday.

I've only got 7 days and nights left at work.

No problem for the GL thread Abbi. I hope someone reciprocates.

    buy travel insurance

decide on music for the ceremony

I've got a wrap provided with my dress that I can wear in the same way as a pashmina. The dress lady showed us how to tie them so they stay on our shoulders without constricting our arm movement.

Not what I wanted with just two weeks to go, had my dress fitting last night and thought it could be taken in more on the hips, but stupid me, not wanting to upset anyone, I kept my mouth shut.

Now of course its all on my mind that it needs to be taken in again, I have another fitting on Thursday as this will be the final one with the length being taken up. I don't know if I should say something now so they have time to adjust the hip area or just leave it as its so close now Smiley sad

    Jeeeez only 3 sleeps!! *gasp*

My gawd that time has gone, these past few weeks are now a blur Smiley smile

We are off to pick up the suits tomorrow night after work (fingers crossed they are right!) and then on to the hotel to drop off; favour bags, guest book, cameras, suitcase for the cards, sweets and banner for the sweet table and gifts.

Yahooo I finish work at 4.30pm tomorrow then the party really begins... well the nerves probably and excitement and something will happen when we have our rehearsal on Friday night ahhhhhhh lawl.

Hope everyone is getting 'nearly there' now? X

Final titivation of the house ready for our housesitter tomorrow. Packing for the minimoon and Saturday night. Getting logistics sorted for Saturday afty. I'm slowly taking relevant bits to my mum's for Saturday lunchtime. No nerves yet.... too buzzed up.

Just had a pull out due to work training.... I don't mind as long as he does end up with his Captain's ticket at the end of it.

I'm strangely feeling very calm. I finished work yesterday. I've been busy doing jobs all day today but feeling quite relaxed about it all so far. Travelling to Cumbria tomorrow so it may become abit more real then.

    Good luck everyone xx

I'm currently supposed to be writing the info pack for the venue but Hitched seemed like a better plan! The to-do list is getting there and anything which doesn't happen now will not make or break the day. Finished work yesterday and today treated myself to an afternoon nap as I hadn't slept well; I woke up at 3.30 this morning worrying that I hadn't seen the breakfast menus and so maybe they hadn't arived with the rest of the stationery. Of course they had but I had to wait until 7.50 before I could ring my dad to check!

I spent lunch time today making the surprise collection of pics of me &OH that he doesn't know will be there for the evening do! Yay, 2 1/2 days x
