We're having 42 peolple to dinner and the venue can lend us 40 nice wooden chairs although 10 ahve arms and 3 dont.

The chairs we have are okay but have a niggling that the covers would look better.

How many people are you having at your top table? You could use the chairs with arms for that if you have 10. I would see if you could borrow a couple of the other chairs if you have children attending.

We have 8 on the top table... one solution was to have chair cvovers on the 2 odd chairs and we have those with 6 armed chairs on the top table and the remaining 4 armed chairs spread around the other tables dont fancy looking likek posha and becks though...

We're not having chair covers, yes they look nice but we couldn't justify all that extra money and tbh as long as the chairs were in good nick I really didnt care.

I like the ones that you can borrow 40 of and they wouldnt need covers. Could you maybe find 2 others that you and your OH could use? Something different but that matches, if that makes sense.

I'm slightly confusd by what you're asking.

I'm not a huge fan of chair covers anyway but I really like the wooden chairs.

It sounds like you're slightly short though. How about having wooden chairs in the room and chairs with covers for the top table? Once you're sat on them no-one can see you've not got a wooden one...

Going to go back to the venue again and plead to see if they can find 2 extra chairs from somewhere!!

Ahhh - then i'd have the normal chairs with chair covers for the top table and then wooden for the guests which would mean using 4 with arms - but dot them around and give them to Grandad's and the likes ?

Well I am not going for the chair covers. I really am not a fan. My mum recons you have nowhere to put your bag, and the OH said you cant fold your legs under your chair! lol. What about arms on the chairs for the bridal party??? That could sort the prob!!
