Talking in the office earlier about valentines day, husbands, boyfriends which turned into a conversation about marriage.
One of my colleagues said that she thinks a couple who live together before marriage should not put on the big display of a wedding. That living together before marriage in her eyes is not right and the bride to be shouldn't walk up the aisle wearing white. That the couple shouldn't go on a 'honeymoon' because a honeymoon is about the consummation of marriage the couple should call it just a holiday.
All of what she said is basically what I am doing so I must be a piece of dirt on her shoe in her eyes.
I am so disgusted with myself that I didn't stand my ground and let her know that she had insulted me but I just hate confrontation and was upset by what she had said that I was afraid I would cry.
Oh and all of what she said nothing to do with religion that they are just her views and what she thinks!
