Could this be food poisoning?

Irgalite, 23 August, 2009 at 17:58 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 3

H had a Dominoes pizza last night (the one with BBQ sauce, chicken and mixed peppers) He ate it about 8pm, then about 3am he started being sick, he now has the runs aswell, feels weak and shaky. Hasnt been sick for a few hours now but also hasnt eaten anything today.

Could it be food poisoning or a bug? The only other thing he ate yesterday was toast and marg. The last few days everything he has eaten is the same as me and LO and we are both fine.

Could be - but equally could be a bug. Doesn't really make much difference in terms of how you deal with it (go to bed and try to keep fluids down) though I guess if food poisoning there's slightly less chance of you getting it.

    Sounds like it could be.

But as Hazel said, it doesnt make much difference in how you deal with it even if it is a bug.

Hope he feels better soon. Food poisoning is horrid?

H had this the other day - throwing up at 3 am. We'd both eaten exactly the same (except he had a Mr Kipling fruit pie and I didn't - but as they were in date, we don't think it was that)

He's not normally a vomiter, so we think it muct have been a bug - but fortunately I didn't get it
