Dessert choice - quick poll

Knees, 29 March, 2012 at 09:52 Posted on Planning 0 30

Simple question - which would you prefer to receive out of these two choices:

White chocolate mousse with raspberry coulis, in a dark chocolate tear drop

Black forest cake - Layers of sponge with kirsch marinated cherries, lashings of cream and shaved chocolate

Thanks!

    This.

The other seems a bit "dated"

I love black forest but it can be a bit heavy so I'd probably take the mousse.

Both sound lovely - I love desserts full stop (I know this doesn't help towards your decision whatsoever lol)

I'll have mousse too please?. I don't like dark chocolate so H would eat that!

It would also be nice to have something light after a WB. I am assuming you'll be serving wedding cake too? So then you won't want two cakes. Tell Mr Knees he is wrong ?

I'd go for mousse. I'm not a fan of black forest as I don't really like cherries.

Yes, we're having cupcakes, so that's partly the reason why I don't want it. Plus, although I have a massive sweet tooth and I love all desserts generally, I would never choose "cake" as a dessert - I'd always rather have cake with coffee in the afternoon.

Well im not sure what your venues reputation for food is like but black forest gateau is trendy again and if done with a modern twist id have that, if there is any likely hood of it resembling anything served in the 80's id play it safe and go with the mousse please!
