Diaries

And I don't mean a 'Dear Diary' type thing, I mean a day to day appointment diary.

Do you have an actual one where you write things in or do you use your smartphone? I HAVE to have an actual diary where I can write in appointments and stuff, I also use ti to write lists in so for instance if one day im meeting a friend in town il jot down thing I need to pick up whilst there.

The people I work with think this is odd and I need to get modernise and use my phone!!!

I buy one every year with the best intentions and end up only using it for a few weeks. I don’t put things in my phone at all.

    I have a proper one.

A very lovely purple leather Aspinals of London one that I couldn't live without. I lose my head if I don't have it with me.

I also get made fun of.

I want a new one this year but they have to be Christmas/birthday presents as they're pricey. This one's had a good few years though!

I have to have a diary, I feel the need to write everything down loads of time I have lists for everything.

i tried using my phone but found it too much faff, my OH uses his phone for everything and loves it. He is always nagging me to try it as he puts shopping lists and everything on his phone whereas I just stick it on a piece of paper and then leave it at home!

Yep I have one every year, lost without it! I write all of my work related stuff in it. It wouldn't feel right using my phone instead at all.

I also have a 'dear diary' too, kinda.. My 100 year diary!

I have one, couldn't do without it! I do also have a lovely brown leather filofax, but it's too heavy to lug around every day, so I just use a small one. I also have one at work, only use online stuff for meeting requests. I'm forever being told to get with the times but I couldn't do it, wouldn't even know what diary funtion my phone has!!

Also have a series of notebooks, which go with me depending on what I'm doing!

I can't. I use my email calender which synchs with my phone and iPad. So whatever I put in one, displays in another. The problem with a paper diary is that i have to rememeber to update it so the one year I tried it, I ended up with half my stuff in my paper diary, half in my phone etc and double booked myself a number of times!

I was devoted to my paper diary that was issued through work but with the new paperless offices we have been forced to use electronic ones. I cried for a few weeks about it but thankfully am over it and finding it more efficient. I am trying to get in the habit of using my mobile calendar but still regularly forgetting that I've organsied things and double booking myself. Gah! Maybe I'll start tatooing stuff on my arm.

I don't have many appointments to worry about so I can get away with using my phone. I do have a very nice address book though because I don't trust my phone to keep everyone's numbers, email addresses and postal addresses!

I use my iPhone calendar. It's great because I've got it synched (sp) with Hs, so if I put somthing in mine, I automatically show as busy on his. Also, I can put stuff in our joint one, say if I arrange a dinner for us with friends, so he just needs to look to see what our plans are ?

ETA: I always have my phone with me, but couldn't be fussed with always having my diary with me...what if you have a small bag? Or you're on a night out? Or you have no bag?

I have one. I write in all of my kids play dates, dr appointments, school "stuff" etc. I also have a seperate one for my FB business, as it's easier to flick through, when i'm using my phone to access my page, rather than keep closing it, to check something else on my phone.

I use a proper paper one, I sometimes write things down on my iphone too but I would be screwed if I lost it or it broke. I definitely wanted one this year with all the appointments etc I'd need to go to so got a pretty Cath Kidston one.

My hairdressers uses her iphone to book all her appointments in and it gives me palpitations just thinking about it, can you imagine if it broke?!

I use the one on my phone. Its just when bills are paid, medical appointments, periods due, birthdays etc etc. Easier for me with not working anymore though.
