I've never flashed before so I hope I do it right!! Here is mine...

.75c I think it's VS2 but can't remember the rest! With sapphires on a platinum band :-D

My fiance bought the diamond while we were on holiday (for his sister getting married in fact) and was then paranoid I'd find it or he'd get his bag searched in the airport and I'd somehow see it. Then he spent weeks going to a jeweller in London on his lunchbreak choosing a setting and sourcing sapphires, all the while paranoid that I'd find out or see him (we work quite close together) while I had NO idea what was going on! I love it and couldn't have chosen better myself.

Don't know if I'll ever get bored of flashing my ER, so here it is AGAIN! One emerald, flanked by 6 diamonds ?

Beautiful rings there ladies, I will have to locate my photos on the other pc and post some up of mine.

Its lovely that we can all flash and share on here coz I dont know about you but I often find that people can be quite jealous when you own an e-ring, not everyone, but a lot of people I come across unfortunately are like it. They are just not interested but I think if the boot were on the other foot it would a whole lot different!. I think because I love jewellery so much and esp a peice that is a display of love and affection, I find it such a shame that people cant just be happy for another person and make a fuss esp when the rings mean so much to the people that wear them.

Well almost, my OH had the diamonds spaced closer together and it's titanium which most people don't have! Not what i would of picked but i LOVE IT!!!

Oh and forgot to say, he had his finger print engraved on the inside!

We've done the same for our wedding rings too! He's got my ring finger print on his and i've got his on mine!!

My ring which was out of a choice of three that I selected. Well done to my OH as he managed to pick my fav out of the three.

My OH's engagement ring, which we picked together. Has blue running through it.

We're both only having simple plain bands for our wedding rings.

Hi everyone,

I'm going to *try* and do a flash (I'm a newbie to Hitched and saying that I'm going to flash makes me giggle!) My fiancé proposed to me on Christmas Day just gone, I opened a massive parcel under the tree to find a lovely jewelry box. He told me to open it and there was the ring box! The ring itself is too shiny to take a photo of, much to the disappointment of my friend who lives away and hasn't seen it yet! So here is a pic off the website:

It's really unusual! I'm not one for rings, so didn't want anything massive. I would have never have picked it myself and that's what I love about it. The only downside was I couldn't wear it on the day, as the OH had just decided to "guestimate" the ring size and bought one three sizes too big! Typical man!

There are 20 teenie diamonds are 3 pink sapphires.

2 diamonds (0.25ct each) and a sapphire set in white gold, from a jeweller in Hatton Garden... needless to say, I was very happy!

It doesn't really matter, no, but it's not really the done thing to bump a thread this old. Mainly because people who contributed before may not use the forum anymore. This means if people quote them or leave messages for them then they're not going to see it and it all just gets a bit confusing.

Much better to start a new thread for something like this really. Obviously there are no 'set in stone' rules, it's just how things are usually done.

It was bumped on the 15th of this month. The post before that was January 2011.

I know what you're saying but I can guarantee there are at least 5 other engagement ring flash threads between this January 2011 one and now so they're not all together anyway.

Here's mine, it's a crisscut diamond which means it's slightly rectangular, and platinum. OH chose it for me and suprised me with it 5 days before my 21st birthday, it was just me and him at his parents house in Hull, and we celebrated by going to buy 2 fancy bottles of champagne and having a lovely italian takeaway with his mum ?

This photo was taken literally 10 mins after we got engaged, I took it to send to my mum at home in Kent cos the first thing she said when I rang and told her was "where's my photo of the ring!?!?" ha ha!

I love it because it's not quite square, so it's really different. I tried to get a wedding ring with a channel of crisscut diamonds but they are quite rare so the price was rediculous!

Wow lovely rings here. MrsYard2be I agree with you, I've enjoyed looking through all the pictures even if they are all old now.

Here's mine - It's "ideal" cut so is soooo sparkly!

Erm, Chill out MrsYard?! Every month or so there is a "flash your ER thread", its been nice to reminisce about some old Hitchers rings on this one that don't come on any more granted but there will be lots others? Why don't we bounce them all?!

I splurged on a rather nice new camera and it's got great macro capabilities!

Thanks I want quite a narrow plain gold band I think. I'd like 18CT, like the engagement ring, and as we've not even set a date yet I'm hoping I'll have time to shop around for a relatively cheap one!
