Ummmm. OK, slightly wigged. I am friends with someone on FB that I had a heeee-yoooooge crush on at school. Someone at work has just pointed out that in his profile pic, he looks very like WTP. Do your exes look similar? Do you have a "type" you go for? I hadn't realised it until now, but yes, I...

Hmm.. no, i don't think so. Anyone that makes me laugh usually, though both my H and ex have ginger tendancies (not proper redheads).

Some say my H looks a lot like Bryan Adams (much better body though) and I don't fancy him in the slightest. Bryan, not my H... you know what I mean...

I definately have 2 types. THe sensible type who I go out with and then the bad boys in between when I get bored ?. I was actually thinking about this the other night as the guy who I have just had a bit of a fling with was almost identical in both looks and personality as the guy I had a fling with 7 years ago when I was last single. (Lovely guys but you probably wouldn't introduce them to your mum...)

I thought I had weaned myself off the rugby players when I was 20 but seem to be heading back in that direction now, 10 years later!

Not particularly I don't think - H is very different from my previous partners in a very good way and I still adore him ?

But then when you look at famous people I fancy none of them have anything in common with each other or H: -

    Mido

    Scotty Valens from Cold Case

    Phil Brown

    Anthony Head

Flissy - shoes with jeans? As in 'shoes' as opposed to trainers? If not, I'm mighty confused!

My type is just: must be cleverer than me. And they tend to be darker haired but I think that's just coincidence and statistics.

    Yes I do

I tend to go for guys with dark hair and blue eyes

In fact it was only a few weeks ago that I too noticed that Mr FB bears a remarkable resembalance to the boy I had a major crush on through most of secondary school

Yup - as in often-pointy-leather-shoes-that-should-really-be-worn-with-pants. Usually in a shade of tan or brown too. UGH!!! We all have our strange predilections! But whilst I'm at it, flip-flops or any kind of mandal would also rule our any potential suitor. Especially if worn with combat type shorts.

I would NEVER go near a man that didn't have own or rent his own place and still lived with parents. Gotta know one end of the Dyson from another too!

Does it make me incredibly shallow that my man preferences boil down to clothes, accent and the ability to wield an iron? At least my lovely OH ticks all three boxes ?

Crikey! He must look like Brad Pitt!

I think it's because men's mums often don't like me, so I need them to be well out of the family nest!

He's lush ? He had to go and live with one of his mates for a bit before I'd have him though ?

Why don't the Mums like you?

Medium height, broad shoulders and dark hair. I like nice fingers and nails too and dimples. I also like the rugged looking men. Brad Pitt is far too pretty in my opinion.

My H is has thin legs and I prefer men who have rugby type legs.

Hell yes! Must be tall (over 6') I am short myself but have small woman syndrome!, preferably short/shaved dark hair, nice smile, no "jug" ears (got a thing about this!) and muscular/athletic build-I like a bit of meat with my gravy ( I don't do either thin/snake hipped or Uncle Buck!)

Personality wise: quick witted, verbose, someone who keeps me on my toes, mannish but with a boyish streak, quirky, kind and demostrative.

Me too ! At least 4 gingers in my past, and more tall guys and geeks than I can remember. Now married to a tallish brown haired geek, but funnily enough our son has reddish hair. I get a lot of jokes about this from people who knew me in my ginger obsessed years.

No I don't have a type as such, I like taller men. They need to be over 6ft!!

So all my previous bf were taller than me.

I did however describe my ideal man when I was 11 and Boyzone were in their prime(I'm showing my age). He had to look like Shane: - tall, dark hair (preferably in a curtain style haircut) have both ears pierced and the must have item was an Irish accent??

Roll on 4 years and a holiday abroad to Spain with my parents leads me to meet exactly what I described above including the all important Irish accent. We've been together ever since and got married last year?

The only thing he has in common with my exes is he's over 6ft.

    edited for spelling, sorry.

My husband has been mistaken for Anthony Edwards in the street. Seriously. He's not tall enough, or in truth slim enough, but otherwise looks quite like Mark Greene. how odd. Should we compare photographs?!

My 'type' such as I have one - I'm sort of in the baron camp, I think - exes have tended to be short(ish), muscular, dark hair, drinky, active, rugby sorts. Why I am married to a computer geek who looks like Anthony Edwards is beyond me.

Looks wise no, absolutely not. Although I like em quite tall (i'm not short myself so it's a logistics thing really) but personality wise I'm definitely a geek lover.

And they've gotta be funny too. I'm one of those girls who can totally be laughed into bed.

I like dark haired, tall men. Mr R is dark and small. LOL when my 12yr step-sis met Mr R she said 'oh you look like Joey (from friends) just fatter!' wahh I laughed so much, she then realised that she had said that out loud.

That's happened to my H a lot too. He sometimes gets mistaken for Michael Stipe now too.

Maybe Anthony Edwards just looks like good husband material?! It's funny as I once saw a picture of AT with his wife and she looks quite like me.? H had that image on his desktop for a while.

    WPansS.

Oh, and dark, too. And tall (As I am 5ft 9 in bare feet and love my heels.) My H is dark enough, just, but I would pop a couple of inches (on his height you guys, his height) if I could. He is 6ft.

Looking back over my boyfriends I'd say no but my OH does look spookily similar to the lad I had the biggest ever crush on at school. 6' ish, dark, full hair, not too long or too short, broad but not big, one of the guys but also a real gent.

Almost all my exs have had dark curly hair and either blue or hazel eyes.

Most have been on the lean side.

I'm a bit picky in that I like blokes who are clean shaven but can actually grow a proper beard and have at least some chest hair - I couldn't do a bloke with very blond hair, no chest hair and whispy beards. <shudder>

It's probably saying something that my exs have vaguely resembled my father from that general description. ? Bizarrely, my sister's bf breaks the mould in the sense he's very tall and has lighter hair but has some very strong character features that remind us all of my Dad ?

Sort of, the people I see and think 'ooh hes nice' are usually tall, dark haired and blue or very dark eyed and fairly slim/toned. None of my actual previous bfs were like that though and neither is my H really, although he is about 6' and does have blue eyes.

Absolutely: very tall (over 6ft 4), dark hair, scruffy, strong features / eyes, usually antipodean ?.

I was once watching a race with Mr Boop and another friend - before we were married - and an ex-boyfriend came over to chat. I introduced everyone and as the ex-walked away my friend pointed out that they could have been separated at birth. Mr Boop is the far better of the two though ?.

My tastes change. I used to really like shorter guys with dark hair and blue eyes, but I think that's down to someone I fancied at the time.

I've always fancied rugby types though, it was more wingers back then, but I've now got an ex prop.

My OH looks nothing like my ex. OH is a 6'5", broad, skinhead, mountain-biker. Ex is 6'7", 12 stone (beanpole), dark haired.

Pretty boys are always nice to look at though, but I couldn't see myself with one.

4' 10" - 5' 2", brown eyes, brown hair, huge norks, very intelligent, interesting regional accent

That covers about 90% of my partners.

No. My first serious boyfriend was 6 foot 2, dark, brown hair, brown eyes.

My husband is the same hight as me (5' 5"), blonde hair, blue eyes and pale. ?

I still remember my mothers face when she first met him. She couldn't believe how different he was to my ex. ?
