Think this might be a leetle bit obsessive.

Puts Flow's bracelets to shame.

Did anyone see the one on This Morning? She had kids of her own, but just started buying all of these babies. She had loads of them, and they each had their own wardrobes so they didn't ever share clothes. It used to take her 2 days out of every week to change all of their clothes, now that's dedication! She was in the process of getting one from America that had a heartbeat. I think they're creepy as!

That is just freaky, and correct me if I'm being ignorant but polycystic ovaries doesn't always mean you can't have kids at all does it? What if she actualy had a real baby.,,

Slightly disturbed that she lives right near my wedding venue, in fact where I'm staying the night before is where she lives!!

Like with anything, PCOS can be more severe in some women than others, but I'm pretty sure she could still have fertility treatment.

The main cause of infertility in women with PCOS, is anovulation, i.e. their ovaries don't release an egg during the menstrual cycle.

I remember that from my cousin in the US talking to me about it, as she has PCOS, and needed fertility drugs to conceive. The drugs did something to get her producing eggs.

Her first child was born in 2007, and my cousin thought that she would need to start taking the drugs again, to conceived a second child. In fact she was told this would probably be the case.

    It wasn't.

She conceived #2 just six months after her first child was born, because she and her husband weren't using any contraception, thinking she wouldn't be able to conceive while not on the tablets.

It was then the doctors said, "oh you do hear of women who after taking the drugs once, it seems to get things going, and they conceive naturally after that." Nice of them to tell her AFTER she got pregnant again so quickly.

#2 was born in 2008, and then when they decided it was time for #3, he/she was conceived naturally last year and is due any day now! *does a giddy dance*

So yes, it can be done, and my cousin's PCOS was classed as being significant.

NYR thats what I thought! Fantastic that things worked out for your cousin, seems to me like this girls is getting a little ahead of herself, she's only 19 - I'd be worried about how she'd be with a real baby...

There are some weird people out there.

Reminds me of the girl yesterday on This Morning who was 'head over heels in love' with...the statue of liberty. She actually wanted to physically marry it but felt it wouldn't be fair on everyone else. She had a replica statue that she lived with and said she doesn't want a relationship with a real person as she was happy as she was. O.D.D

    ?

Must not laugh. Must not laugh.

    <bites tongue>

    ?

    Edited to add:

I had to Google it and found this snippet:

Since then she has visited the 151ft statue in person four times, caressing it and leaning out of a window to kiss its hair

No, it doesn't - it makes it harder to conceive but I highly doubt any doctor would have told her at that age that she'll never have kids. She'd have no room for a real baby with all those freaky things around though!

I was told that at 21! The GP was a locum, about 70 and basically said "you have PCOS- Obviously the skinny type as you are not fat and hairy (!) do you want kids? No. Good you wont have them then!

Took me a little while to get over it- do my research and find out he was wrong!

So there ARE charlatans out there still peddling myths like that! Makes me so angry. Pretty much the only women who definitely won't have kids are those who've had a hysterectomy. I think some people do over-interpret "You may have difficulty conceiving" - which is true of many conditions - and hear "You can't have kids" but obviously not in your case. ? The number of women I've seen in labour ward/termination clinic who thought they couldn't get pregnant for whatever reason is quite high. And then there's GUM clinic...
