I've had some, not for a wedding though, tbh I didn't find them that impressive so I'm wearing falsies on my day lol Smiley smile

I don't think I could bear not having them Tricks! Three and a half years of constant false eyelashes here. I will never ever take them off! (I look like a burly man at the best of times anyway).

Dude you're not burly! Espesh not since your epic weight loss so naff off and leave me to be burly on me lonesome! Although I am on Fat Fighters now so I think I am less burly than before; HOWEVER I still have a long way to go before I can bathe on the beach without Greenpeace trying to chuck me back into the ocean. Darn do-gooders.

Can I have the extra bits of boob you don't want please? I'm as flat as a pancake. And as for the compliment - the cheque is in the post! ?

Sorry to the OP - Tricks and I have a habit of derailing threads...

Whilst in my beauticians last night having my make up trail done - we were talking about this.. I am having mine done for the wedding but make sure you have a patch test done for the glue.. Couldn't think of anything worse than being allergic to it and having big eyes just before the wedding!!?

WSS! Hence why I had them done as a one off 3.5 years ago and I've been going back ever since. I get Jinnylashes but Nouveau are also good.

It's a weave. Basically 5 rows of horizontal plaits and she threaded the extensions in. Hurt like a motherchuffer at the time but I love them now. Can't afford to keep it up though!

Has anyone got any 'before' and 'after' pics of eyelash extensions they would like to share? I'm thinking about getting mine done too but its quite expensive so just wondered how much of a difference it actually makes and if its worth the money

I've just has a 90 minute phone call with my friend who is doing my make up for the wedding and she's been grilling me about my beauty regime and make up etc. She's taking me shopping soon so I can purchase my foundation etc. She's also been asking me about colours I'll be wearing on the day so she can make me up an eyeshadow. We did gossip as well - just realised I've made it look like we were chatting all things beauty for that long!

She's also going to book an appointment for me to have my eyelashes done as a tester for my hen night and if I like them she'll arrange for me to have them done again for my wedding/honeymoon.

Thanks very much ladies Smiley smile

Can u still treat them like real eyelashes then, ie still put mascara etc on or would u not need it?

I really want eyelash extensions... I don't live near to where I am getting married so am doing my resarch online.

I have found one place that does them but the picture they used put me off- they seemed to be using the kind that you buy from a chemist (small clumps you glue on)... is this how it should be done?

I have copied and pasted the image from the website:

As Tricks said, you don't need mascara however you can buy Nouveau/Jinnylash mascara which is water soluble. Normal mascara will pull out your lashes.

KV - those lashes indeed look like the clumps of Boots lashes. I know there are places who do them and charge about £20 to apply them, however I'd recommend just going the whole hog and getting the individual lashes done - either Blink n Go, Jinnylash or Nouveau.

That is what I was afraid of! I have used those myself and think they are OK but I want proper extensions!

I'm getting mine done tonight as a trial. I had my makeup trial last week and had the one day stickies on - loved the way they looked but could definitely feel them, so I', hoping these will be more comfy/less noticable.

I wash my face as normal. You just need to make sure you don't rub your eyes else you'll lose lashes. I always apply the cleanser to my face and rinse off with a muslin cloth and avoid my lashes. Hope that makes sense!
