Hi all! I thought it was about time that I finally said a quick hello and introduced myself! I have been lurking around the forum for a while now but as my wedding planning had never really kicked off, I didn't feel that there was much I could contribute. Hopefully that will change now - so as I said before apologies for the lurking and lack of introduction ( I hope you will forgive me).
So a little about me....
I got engaged to H2B in January this year (the day before our 4 year anniversary) and I must admit it was a total surprise and made me the happiest women in the world (cheesey I know but true). Unfortunately, some problems in my family meant that our wedding planning excitement was well and truly lost for a while. Although we set our date for the 20th April 2013 and confirmed the church and the reception venue we really did nothing else as my heart just wasn't in it. However, in the last month or so my wedding planning mojo has come back with a vengeance and I have found myself scouring the hitched forum for advice and opinions - this is why I thought it was about time I said hello!
We now have booked: the church (well hopefully anyway), the reception venue, the caterers, the car, the photographer, an ice cream trike and we have picked our invitations. Oh and I am also well on my way to making my brooch bouquet which I am very excited about.
So that's about it for me at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to use the forum for inspiration and also give a little advice when I can.
