First words

Nutella, 12 March, 2012 at 09:29 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 22

Mine was 'please' - the joke amongst my lovely family is that I've never said it since!

Older bro was 'duck'

Little bro was 'more'

Do you know what yours was? was is classic, or pretty individual to the type of child you were and things you enjoyed?

That was my first word too, apparantly.

Both my boys say the usual Dadda, Mamma, Nanna. Dadda came first, it's easier to say.

I don't know what mine was, but my nephews first word was "light". He used to point to the light and say, very proudly, "lighhhh".

Not sure it was actual 'first' but one of my early words that I said ALL THE TIME was 'Oh God!'

My Mum desperatly tried to get me to say 'Oh dear' or 'whoops a daisy' but nope I liked 'Oh God!' If I dropped something, if someone was in my way, if I didn't lik something, if I lost something all my mum would hear is 'Oh God' much to the hilarity of passers-by.

Mine were "dirty" and "bits" my mum and nanna were horrified as it looked like I was being brought up in a filthy environment. I think its more the warning that you say to kids "don't touch that, its dirty" ?

I think mine was Dadda. Ironic really as we're now estranged.

My nephew's first word was dog (although he actually said dag) and my neice muttered her first word a week ago which was 'hiya'!

Hands apparently, as my Mum was always washing my hands. I reckon she is embroidering the truth a little there though- probably dada or baba like everyone else!

Don't know what mine was, mamma or dadda probably.

Daughters first word was 'Hayer', which according to Google is a clan situated in the region of Punjab. Apart from that it was 'Beau' (the dog)

Mine was Pal, trying to say Paul, which is my big bros name.

My first sentence was "Pal did it" ? which I apparently used frequently throughout my childhood whenever I was naughty!
