Wetest September day in 20 years in North Yorkshire, hope no one is affected.

I have been in the lakes for 2 days and honestly I have never seen so much rain and all the roads had deep flooding on. I was looking forward toa couple of days away, but cdidn't leave the hotel till a quick trip to the aquarium yesterday morning on the way back. Also no phone signal or intenet access, still neveer mind got a lot of reading done.

I hop no one was affected badly - we were worried as our street is on the back of a huge park which has a stream running through it as well as a duck pond. the path to the pond was flooded as were the allotments that seperates our street from the stream. thankfully it stopped raining so that the stream could take all the water away

Lots of train cancellations again this morning. Hope that it gets better soon, this is the third day of rain where I am but it doesn't seem quite as heavy.

Our dog has enjoyed swimming in the Ings floodwater & less rain so far today - fingers crossed it stays that way.

Hope it hasn't affected anyone too badly.

There was 1 of our main roads badly flooded but otherwise we seem to have escaped so far. Few of the smaller rivers had swollen badly but not heard of any businesses or homes affected. Hope everyone is not affected x
